Objective: To evaluate the short-term clinical efficacy of cocktail therapy in pain management after total hip arthroplasty, retrospectively and to explore the effectiveness and safety of the cocktail analgesia method in this study. Methods: A total of 40 patients with total hip arthroplasty were enrolled in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery,Second Traditional Chinese Medicine of Sichuan Province from April 2017 to February 2019.The collected cases were divided into a control group and an observation group according to whether or not the cocktail was used during the operation. In the control group,no cocktails were used during the operation, and a total of 20 cases were used.In the observation group,20 cocktails were used during the operation. The gender, age, height, weight, type of diagnosis, time of surgery, resting status at admission, and exercise status VAS pain scores were collected. The resting state and exercise state of the hip pain VAS score at 6 hours,12 hours,24 hours,48 hours,72 hours, and 5 days after surgery were observed. The postoperative pain supplementation, postoperative complications, and adverse reactions occurred.Result:(1)There were no significant differences in gender, age, height, weight, type of diagnosis, operation time, the resting status VAS scores at admission, and the exercise status VAS scores at admission between the two groups(p>0.05).(2)The resting status VAS scores at 6h,12 h,and 24 h after operation were statistically significant(p<0.05).The exercise status VAS scores at 6h,12 h,and 24 h after operation were statistically significant(p<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the resting status VAS scores between the two groups at 48 h,72h,and 5th postoperatively(p>0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the exercise status VAS scores at 48 h,72h,and 5day after surgery(p>0.05).There was no significant difference in Postoperative pain supplementation rate and adverse reaction rate(p>0.05).Conclusion:(1)This study consists of a cocktail consisting of ropivacaine and betamethasone. The results showed that it was effective in relieving pain in resting and exercise state within 24 hours after total hip arthroplasty.Does not increase postoperative adverse reactions and complications. It is a safe and effective analgesic program with high clinical value and worth promoting.(2)Cocktail therapy can effectively alleviate pain after total hip arthroplasty, increase comfort and improve the enthusiasm of early functional exercise.Greatly reduce the incidence of complications such as dysfunction caused by long-term bed rest, deep venous thrombosis of lower extremities, improve joint function and promote postoperative recovery.Easy operation during operation and convenient drug acquisition. In multimodal analgesia, cocktail therapy can be a routine choice.
