Objective: Under the guidance of latent pathogen theory, the correlation between "deficiency","phlegm" and "blood stasis" state of diabetic macrovascular injury and the general information and clinical indexes were analyzed,in order to provide theoretical basis for objectification of TCM syndrome differentiation of diabetic macrovascular injuryMethods: 132 type 2 diabetes patients without complications who meet the study criteria, outpatient or inpatient of Sichuan hospital of TCM were divided into "deficiency","phlegm" and "blood stasis" state based on latent pathogen theory.patients' general data was collected, the first blood glucose, blood lipid, inflammatory factors, hemorheology, carotid intima-media thickness and other relevant indicators were measured.A preliminary study was conducted to investigate the correlation between those three states and general information and clinical indexes. Results: 1.General information:(1)Gender:there was no significant difference among them(p>0.05).(2)Age:following the increasing trend of " deficiency" < "phlegm" < "blood stasis" state, the differences have statistically significance(p<0.05).(3)Course of disease:following the increasing trend of "deficiency" < "phleg m" < "blood stasis" state, the differences have statistically significance(p<0.05).(4)BMI: "phlegm" state was significantly higher than "deficiency" and "blood stasis" state, the differences have statistically significance(p<0.05).2.Clinical indicators:(1)Blood glucose:FBG,Hb A1c:there was no significant difference among them(p>0.05).(2)Blood lipid: TG,TC,LDL-C: "phlegm" state was higher than "deficiency" and "blood stasis" state, the differences have statistically significance(p<0.05);HDL-C: there was no significant difference among them(p>0.05).(3)Inflammatory indexes: CRP: "phlegm" state was higher than others;TNF-?: "phlegm" and "blood stasis" state were higher than "deficiency" state, the differences have statistically significance(p<0.05).(4)Hemorheological indexes: plasma viscosity, whole blood high shear and reduced viscosity: "blood stasis" state was higher than "phlegm" and "deficiency" state, the differences have statistically significance(p<0.05);Erythrocyte deformation index: there was no significant difference among them(p>0.05).The whole blood low shear and reduced viscosity, fibrinogen and erythrocyte aggregation index: "phlegm" and "blood stasis" states were higher than "deficiency" state, the differences have statistically significance(p<0.05).(5)CIMT: "phlegm" and "blood stasis" state were higher than " deficiency" state, the differences have statistically significance(p<0.05).Conclusions:There were certain differences between those states and related indicators."blood stasis" state have the highest age and the longest course, which is particularly related to hemorheological indexes and CIMT."phlegm" state is particularly related to BMI,blood lipid and inflammatory indexes, which can become an objective reference index for clinical syndrome differentiation. The criteria for the combination of diseases and syndromes according to latent pathogen was preliminarily established, providing an objective theoretical basis for guiding the early diagnosis and clinical evaluation of diabetic macroangiopathy based on syndrome differentiation.
