Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of dense endoscopic variceal ligation in the treatment of isolated gastric varices type1(IGV1).Methods From January 2014 to January 2019,at the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University, patients with IGV1 who were treated with endoscopic variceal ligation were retrospectively analyzed. The number of ligation rings, successful hemostasis, early rebleeding(from 72 hours to six weeks after operation),delayed rebleeding(at six weeks after operation)and disappearance of gastroesophageal varices were observed. And postoperative complications of EVL were evaluated. Results There were 50 patients with IGV1(35 males and 15 females),and the mean age was(54.26±11.33)years.The mean number of ligation during EVL operation was(21.18±13.20).None case had rebleeding in 72 hours after operation, and the hemostatic rate was 100%(50/50).The early rebleeding rate was 6%(3/50),the delayed rebleeding rate was 4%(2/50),and the total rebleeding rate was 10%(5/50).The disappearance rate of isolated gastric varices after the first treatment was 56.41%(22/39).The disappearance rate of isolated gastric varices after the second treatment was 87.18%(34/39).The disappearance rate of isolated gastric varices after the third treatment was 97.44%(38/39).Conclusions Dense endoscopic variceal ligation can effectively control the acute hemmorrhage of isolated gastric varices type1.The postoperative rebleeding rate and complication rate are low. And,the disappearance rate of varices is high.
