Objective:To study the value of exhaled nitric oxide(FeNO)in the diagnosis and treatment of non-chronic cough in children, and to explore its significance in the early diagnosis of chronic cough.Meyhods:A total of 199 children from the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University from October 2018 to April 2019 were enrolled in the pediatric outpatient clinic with cough as the main symptom and who met the enrollment conditions.Among the non-chronic cough group(path>2 weeks,?4 weeks),102 cases(experimental group),age, gender, allergy history, family history, main symptoms and duration, signs, peripheral blood leukocytes and hobby The clinical data of acid granulocyte count,FeNO concentration(before and after treatment),pulmonary imaging results, diagnosis and disease outcome after aerosol inhalation treatment were comprehensively analyzed, and were divided into three groups according to the FeNO concentration at the initial visit:Group A For the high level group, the FeNO concentration was>35 ppb,the B group was the middle level group, the FeNO concentration was 20~35 ppb,and the C group was the low level group, the FeNO concentration was<20ppb.Comparing the clinical data of each group, the FeNO in each group was discussed. The relationship between concentration and clinical.Another 97 children with chronic cough (control group)were compared with those in the non-chronic cough group.Results:1.The relationship between FeNO concentration and clinical status in non-chronic cough group:(1)The concentration of FeNO in non-chronic cough group was correlated with age,pre-treatment cough symptom score and peripheral blood EOS count(r=0.294,0.569,0.446,respectively,P=0.000),statistically significant;differences in idiosyncratic(Z=-4.259,P=0.000)were statistically significant.(2)The differences of different FeNO concentrations(groups A,B,and C)in the non-chronic cough group were statistically significant(P<0.05)in age,idiosyncranic,pre-treatment cough symptom scores, and EOS counts.2.The relationship between different FeNO concentrations and clinical:(1)In the experimental group and the control group, the difference of different FeNO concentrations(A,B,C subgroups)in age,in both B and C groups, there are statistics Academic significance(P<0.05).(2)In the experimental group and the control group, the different FeNO concentrations(groups A,B,and C)were not statistically significant in peripheral blood leukocyte count, cough symptom scores before and after treatment, and gender comparison studies(P>0.05).).(3)In the experimental group and the control group, the difference of FeNO concentration(A,B,C subgroup)in the comparison of esophageal and peripheral blood eosinophil counts was statistically significant in group A and group C(P Both<0.05).3.Evaluation of the effect of different FeNO concentrations in the experimental group on aerosol inhalation therapy:(1)The remission rate of non-chronic cough A,B,C subgroups after 4 weeks of aerosol inhalation treatment, group A(84.6%)>B Group(80.0%)>C group(61.4%),the difference between the three groups(?~2=14.683,P=0.001),was statistically significant. There were significant differences in cough symptoms before and after treatment in each group(P=0.000).(2)After 4 weeks of aerosol inhalation treatment, the scores of cough symptoms and FeNO concentration in non-chronic cough A,B,C subgroups decreased in the whole and A and B subgroups, with statistical difference(P<0.05).4.Non-chronic cough group children with different FeNO concentrations:A,B,C groups have evolved into cough variant asthma(CVA),the highest proportion of group A,followed by group B,the difference is extremely significant(?~2=15.987,P=0.000).Conclusion:1.The concentration of FeNO increased in different degrees in children with chronic and non-chronic cough. In combination with peripheral blood EOS count in children with high concentration of FeNO in non-chronic cough, airway inflammation can be assessed early.2.Non-chronic cough with elevated FeNO concentration, early standard nebulized inhalation treatment is good.3.FeNO is more likely to occur in children with non-chronic cough in the future.
