Objective1.Compare the level of insight of patients with depressive episode and bipolar disorder.2.To compare the cognitive function of patients with depressive episode and bipolar disorder.3.To explore the correlation between the insight and cognitive function in patients with depressive episode and bipolar disorder.Provide reference for medical staff to provide specific services to clinical patients.MethodsFrom March 2018 to December 2018,102 hospitalized patients were enrolled in the department of mental health of the first hospital of Shanxi Medical University, including 36 cases of depressive episode group,35 cases of bipolar depressive episode group and 31 cases of bipolar manic episode group, all meeting the diagnostic criteria of international classification of diseases(10th edition)(ICD-10).Another 155 healthy controls were collected as the reference standard of cognitive function. The Hamilton depression scale 24-item(HAMD-24)and bech-rafaelsen manic scale(BRMS)were used to evaluate the symptoms and conditions within one week upon admission. The cognitive function was evaluated using the repetitive neuropsychological state test(RBANS),and the self-knowledge level was assessed using the self-knowledge and treatment attitude questionnaire(ITAQ).Results1.The total ITAQ scores of the depressive episode group, bipolar depressive episode group and bipolar manic episode group were(17.33±2.63),(16.57±2.44),and(15.19±2.86),.The differences among the three groups were statistically significant(p < 0.05).2.The RBANS were respectively(80.86±5.53),(79.57±3.78)and(70.71±4.60)in the depression episode group, bipolar depression episode group and bipolar manic episode group, with statistically significant differences(p < 0.05).3.Correlation analysis showed that attention in cognitive function of the depressive episode group was positively correlated with self-knowledge about attitude toward medication(p < 0.05),and speech function in cognitive function was positively correlated with insight about relapse and ways of seeking help(p<0.05).The HAMD delay in the bipolar depressive episode group may be correlated with the insight of hospitalization(p < 0.05).Attention in the cognitive function of the bipolar manic episode group was correlated with attitude toward medication(p<0.05).Conclusion1.The level of insight and cognitive function of hospitalized patients with depressive episode and bipolar disorder were both deficient, among which bipolar manic episode patients were the most serious, bipolar depressive episode patients were the second most serious, and depressive episode patients were the least severe.2.The level of insight and cognitive function of hospitalized patients with depressive episode and bipolar disorder were correlated with different degrees.
