Objective:Combined with the results of the investigation on the needs of primary caregivers in elderly hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage patients after decompressive craniectomy, the continuous nursing index system for elderly patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage after decompressive craniectomy was constructed. To lay the foundation for continuous care of elderly hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage patients after decompressive craniectomy.Methods:1.Qualitative and quantitative studies were combined to investigate the needs of primary caregivers in elderly hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage patients after decompressive craniectomy. The qualitative study used a semi-structured interview to interview 13 primary caregivers. The quantitative study used a self-made demand questionnaire to investigate the needs of 110 primary caregivers.2.Through literature reading, combined with the demand survey results, the index system of continuous nursing for elderly patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage after decompressive craniectomy was initially constructed.Using Delphi expert consultation method, expert consultation on the content of the index system was carried out. After two rounds of consultation, the final index system for continuous nursing of elderly patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage after decompressive craniectomy was formed.Results:1.In the investigation on the needs of primary caregivers in elderly hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage patients after decompressive craniectomy, the qualitative researchhas extracted three themes, namely lack of relevant knowledge, lack of care support, and multiple challenges. The results of the quantitative study showed that more than 55% of the primary caregivers were required for each item of the Needs Questionnaire. The top 5needs are “Methods to assist patients in rehabilitation”,“Methods to prevent common complications”,“Methods to protect patients' safety”,“Rehabilitation guidance for hospital rehabilitation workers”,“Bone window related nursing knowledge after decompressive craniectomy”,indicating that the needs of the primary caregiver are knowledge needs and manpower needs.2.The response rates of the 2 rounds of expert consultation were 95.45% and 100.0%respectively;and experts who made constructive comments accounted for 33% and 9%respectively;the authority coefficient of experts was 0.855;the Kendall's harmony coefficient after 2 rounds of survey was 0.127 to 0.217.An indicator system for elderly hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage patients after decompressive craniectomy consisting of 5 primary indicators,20 secondary indicators, and 44 tertiary indicators was established. Conclusion:According to the results of comprehensive qualitative research and quantitative research, the needs of the main caregivers of elderly hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage after debridement are mainly knowledge needs, manpower needs, and social support.During the construction of the indicator system, the experts have high enthusiasm, high authoritative coefficient, and good coordination of experts' opinions. The formed index system has certain clinical practical significance and strong operability.
