Advances In Research On Polymyositis/Dermatomyositis-Associated Interstitial Lung Disease

Polymyositis/dermatomyositis is a type of non-suppurative chronic diffuse inflammatory myopathy involving the striated muscle,which is still unclear,and often involves multiple organs.Interstitial lung disease(ILD)is a group of diffuse pulmonary diseases that mainly affect the pulmonary interstitium,alveoli,and bronchi,often secondary to various connective tissue diseases.The incidence of polymyositis/dermatomyositis with interstitial lung disease is high and can occur at any stage of the disease with a poor prognosis.At present,Western medicine has no internationally accepted guidelines for PM/DM-ILD.It generally advocates glucocorticoid combined with immunosuppressive agents,Biologics or IVIG can also be given depending on the condition,but the efficacy is not certain.Chinese medicine treatment of PM/DM-ILD is an important measure of treatment,and studies have shown that Chinese medicine can achieve good clinical results in the treatment of this disease.
