Objective: To investigate the level of baPWV in COPD patients compared with non-COPD patients. To analyze the relation of FEV1?pO2 ?pO2 ?FEV1/FVC,and mean baPWV in patients with COPD.Methods: A cross-sectional study study was conducted in all hospitalized patients in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from March 2017 to December 2017.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,99 patients were concluded.all the patients were divided into COPD group(n=50)and normal group(n=49).The baPWV datas, respiratory function, and other biochemical indexes were collected. Results: Compared with normal group, patients with COPD have more smokers and men, with higher blood pressure and lower lung function(P<0.05).COPD group had higher baPWV levels(P<0.05).There is no correlation between FEV1/FVC and PO2 ? PCO2 ? FEV1 respectively(P<0.05).There is a significant negative correlation between FEV1/FVC and baPWV(r=-0.206,P=0.041<0.05).Conclusion : baPWV is higher in COPD patients compared with non-COPD patients. There is a correlation between baPWV and FEV1/FVC.COPD may be associated with early arteriosclerosis.COPD may be one risk factor of cardiovascular diseases.
