Objective: To investigate the clinical characteristics, drug resistance and prognostic factors of nosocomially acquired Candida tropicalis fungemia. Methods: Clinical data of 55 patients with Candida tropicalis fungemia in the First Affiliated Hospital Of Chongqing Medical University from May 2011 to June 2018 were collected, and their basic diseases,high-risk factors, drug sensitivity were retrospectively analyzed. The univariate Logistic regression analyses were used to determine the prognostic factors of Candida tropicalis fungemia.SPSS22.0 was used for statistical analysis. Results: In this group,55 cases of patients with Candida tropicalis fungemia all had underlying diseases and a variety of high-risk factors.The30-day mortality rate was high(27.3%)and the attributable fatality rate directly associated with Candida tropicalis fungemia was 25.5%.Antimicrobial susceptibility testing showed that all the fungal strains(100%)were susceptible to amphotericin B and 5-fluorocytosine,but79.2% susceptible to fluconazole and voriconazole,75% susceptible toitraconazole. The univariate Logistic regression analyses revealed that the prolonged neutropenia ? 10 days and venous catheter have statistical difference between the survival group and the related death group. There was a statistically significant difference between the attributed death group and the survival group. Conclusion: Candida tropicalis fungemia mostly occurs in patients with underlying diseases and risk factors, and have more resistant to azole antibiotics and have a higher mortality rate, and venous catheter removal was the possible factor of the attributable mortality. |
