Objective: Propose to get the anatomic gist at radiography for designing the nails' paths at trapezium,so that the treatment of the fracture at the basilar of the first metacarpal could be optimized with mineral external fixation fixed at it,we measured the values of trapezium at multidimension by researching the CT images of the bone.Methods: We measured the values of trapezium at multidimension by researching the CT images of the bone at the MPR images,finished measuring values reflecting the bone size of trapezium,and analyzed them about the optimized nail path design and feasibility when screws were nailing at trapezium.Results: A total of 60 sets CT values of normal trapezium were measured,they reflect the size range of trapezium,including 30 males and females.The included subjects were between 18 and 70 years old,with an average age of 42.3 years old.The Bowstring length of trapezium is(11.79± 1.30)mm,the Saddle depth is(1.25 ± 0.63)mm,the Altitude above shorten sagittal diameter is(7.38 ± 0.98)mm,the radialis width of trapezium is(13.46±1.13)mm,the middle altitude is(11.43±1.18)mm,the sagittal length is(14.59±1.63)mm,we find the feasibility and problems should be avoided basing on these values.We find the location method of screw at trapezium base on the values.Conclusion: The size of trapezium can satisfy the exist of nail path;the safe area was reflected at these values of trapezium;these values can help to design the two nails paths at trapezium.
