Analysis Of Correlation Between TCM Syndromes And Insulin Resistance In Patients With Colorectal Cancer And Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Objective: To analyze the correlation between TCM syndromes and insulin resistance in patients with colorectal cancer and type 2 diabetes mellitus,in order to understand the influence of insulin resistance on the incidence,progression and prognosis of colorectal cancer.Methods: A retrospective study was conducted to screen 120 patients with colorectal malignant tumors with type 2 diabetes mellitus from June 2017 to December2018 in the Department of Oncology Medicine,Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.General information,course of disease,height,weight,tumor markers,insulin release test,OGTT,blood lipids were collected and HOMA-IR and BMI were calculated.According to the data of the four TCM diagnoses,the doctors in charge of the Department should differentiate the symptoms and signs and divide them into groups according to the TCM syndromes.The degree of insulin resistance in each group was compared,and the correlation between different TCM syndromes and insulin resistance was analyzed.According to the pathological stages of colorectal cancer,insulin resistance index,glycosylated hemoglobin,OGTT and insulin release curve of different stages were compared.Research conclusions:(1)There were significant differences in body weight and BMI among different types of colorectal cancer patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(P < 0.05).(2)There were significant differences in CEA,CA153,CA199 and CA125 among different types of colorectal cancer patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(P < 0.05).(3)There were significant differences in fasting blood glucose,1 hour postprandial blood glucose,2 hours postprandial blood glucose and 3 hours postprandial blood glucose among different types of colorectal cancer patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(P < 0.05).(4)There were significant differences in fasting insulin,1 hour postprandial insulin,2 hours postprandial insulin and 3hours postprandial insulin among different types of colorectal cancer patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(P < 0.05).(5)There were significant differences in glycosylated hemoglobin and HOMA-IR between different types of colorectal cancer patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(P < 0.05).(6)There were significant differences in triglyceride,cholesterol,low density lipoprotein and high density lipoprotein among different types of colorectal cancer patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(P < 0.05).(7)According to different pathological stages,there were significant differences in fasting blood sugar,1 hour postprandial blood sugar,2 hours postprandial blood sugar and 3 hours postprandial blood sugar among the groups(P < 0.05).(8)According to different pathological stages,there were significant differences in fasting insulin,1 hour postprandial insulin,2 hours postprandial insulin and 3 hours postprandial insulin among the groups(P < 0.05).(9)According to different pathological stages,there were significant differences in HbA1 c and HOMA-IR among the groups(P < 0.05).
