Art is a powerful communication tool.It conveys emotion through visual image. The content of art works is far richer than language. Not only that, but art can also explore the emotions and beliefs of people's subconsciousness and help people find spiritual comfort. In the 1930 s,American psychiatrist Namberg first proposed the concept of "art therapy",and in the 1960 s art therapy was introduced to China.Art therapy is a concept developed based on the healing nature of art creation or the healing function of art.It mainly expresses the image in a visual form through art media such as painting, music, literature and drama.Through the process of creation, the emotions of the subconscious mind are suppressed, and the people are widely affected, and they often act on people with mental retardation and mental illness, which have certain effects on the internal growth of individuals or other problem behaviors. The hand is the most concentrated organ of human nerve fibers, and the brain can be changed by hands. In recent years, manual healing has become a new way of art therapy.Through the perception of materials by hand,it makes the touch become sharp and stimulates the mutual establishment of neurons, thus promoting the development of the brain. At the same time,in the process of handwork, exercise the child's fine movements and promote the coordinated development of the hand and brain. In the immersive manual creation process, the visitor's concentration,emotion,self-awareness,social and psychological construction are all helpful. The development of manual healing has not only enriched the types of media for art therapy, but also made the treatment “healing” more likely. The subject of this study is autistic children.Autism is the largest type of mental illness in China. The number of patients has reached 10 million, including 2 million children, and the number is increasing year by year. The cause of autism is unknown, and there is no effective drug treatment.Only through interventions and healing methods can help to improve children's cognitive ability, promote children's mental health development, and improve language, behavior and social barriers. At present,China mainly uses painting therapy, music therapy, dance therapy, and drama therapy as the main means of healing, and the research and application of the opponent's process healing is less.Based on the premise of the research, the thesis constructs the thesis framework through a large number of previous literature studies, and then based on the three cases in practice, through the collection of data, the record of the curriculum, and interviews with students, parents and teachers, etc. The effect of manual healing on children with autism and the possibility of future development, and the improvement of the theory of manual healing, enrich the content of handicraft healing in art therapy, and the practice of art therapy in China.Development provides a theoretical reference.
