Objective:This study aims to provide clinical basis for treatment of keloids through clinical observation and analysis the efficacy of combined therapy for keloids.Materials and Methods:We registered 42 inpatient patients with 85 lesions from 2017 to 2018 in the Institute of Dermatology,Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. All the keloids were treated with surgery, then triamcinolone acetonide and botulinum toxin type A were injected at the edge of the incision. After surgery, all patients received radiotherapy and later regular hormone therapy. The efficacy criteria ware divided into effective(cured and marked)and ineffective. The patients who were followed up for more than 1 year and recurred in 1 year were calculated effective rate, then SPSS 25.0 statistical software was used to compare the relationship between effective rate and locations, inducements, methods of operation and later hormone therapy. At the same time, the VSS scores were evaluated efficacy in patients who were followed for less than 1 year. Results:There were 22 patients with recurrence in 1 year and follow-up for more than 1 year,10 males and 12 females.A total of 42 keloids,6 keloids were recurred and the total effective rate was 85.7%.There were no significant differences in the effective rate by different locations(P>0.05).There were significant differences in the effective rate by different inducements(P<0.01),surgery-induced keloids effective rate(100%)and infection-induced keloids effective rate(93.8%)were higher than those without inducement keloids(54.5%).There was no significant difference in the effective rate by different methods of operation(P>0.05).There were significant differences in the effective rate between the regular later hormonal therapy and the irregular hormonal therapy or no hormonal therapy(P<0.001),The effective rate of regular hormonal therapy(85.7%)was higher than non-hormone therapy or irregular hormonal therapy(15.4%).The VSS scores of patients who were followed up for 3 months or for half a year decreased after treatment and there were significant differences between before treatment and after treatment(P<0.001).Conclusions:This study shows that the combined therapy is effective for keloids and is worthy to be popularized. In particular, the regular hormone therapy in the later period has a significant improvement for keloids.
