Purpose:1.To compare the efficacy of two-stent technique in treating coronary bifurcation lesions.2.To compare the differences between Two-stent and provisional stenting techniques in cardiac ultrasoundreport and clinical events. Methods:A total of 60 patients with true coronary bifurcation lesions(Medina 1,1,1 or 0,1,1)in our center were randomized in 1:1 fashion to receive systematic two-stent technique or provisional stenting(PS)technique. The primary endpoint was the rate of 12-month major adverse cardiovascular events(MACE),defined as the composite of cardiac death,non-fatal myocardial infarction, and clinically driven target lesion revascularization(TLR).The major secondary endpoints include in-stent restenosis,X-ray exposure time, and contrast media dose. Results:All patientsreceived drug-eluting stents implantation successfully, and no serious procedural complications were found.X-ray exposure time(35.90±8.53min Vs 24.16±5.78min,P<0.01)and contrast media dose(156.00±15.88 ml Vs 124.83±20.94 ml,(P<0.05)were higher in the two-stent group compared to PS group. After 12-month follow-up,the rates of MACE between two groups were similar, but the TLR rate in two-stent group was significantly lower than that in PS group(3.3%Vs 10.0%,P<0.05).Conclusions:Compared to PS technique,two-stent technique has the similar MACE rate and the reduced risk of TLR for true coronary bifurcation lesions.
