This paper mainly studies the efficacy and safety of Shuanghua Yuyin Decoction in improving the Yin deficiency and dryness-heat type of primary Sjogren's syndrome, observes the changes of TCM syndromes score and Western medical efficacy index before and after treatment, and explores that "insufficient true yin,dryness-heat and toxicity" is an important pathogenesis of primary Sjogren's syndrome, and nourishing Yin,moistening dryness and detoxification are effective methods for treating this disease. The full text is divided into two parts:The first part is a literature review, including the understanding and research progress of primary Sjogren's syndrome in traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine. This paper mainly introduces the origin and historical development of TCM,the understanding and treatment of the etiology and pathogenesis of the disease by physicians in recent 10 years, and the exploration and treatment status of the pathogenesis of the disease by Western medicine. The second part is clinical research:Objective:The purpose of this study is to explore the efficacy and safety of Shuanghua Yuyin Decoction in improving SS of Yin deficiency and dryness-heat type through clinical observation, and to clarify its advantages.Methods:60 patients with primary Sjogren's syndrome from March 2018 to December 2018 in Xiyuan hospital,Chinese academy of traditional Chinese medicine were treated with Shuanghua Yuyin Decoction. The patients were observed before treatment,8 weeks after treatment and 12 weeks after treatment. The main observation indicators were TCM syndrome scoring table, dry mouth, dry eye VAS score,Schirmer I test;the secondary observation indicators were doctors'evaluation of clinical signs, patients' quality of life score,ESR,C-reactive protein, rheumatoid factor, immunoglobulin(IgG),and safety indicators and adverse reactions. Finally, the statistical results were analyzed and evaluated.RESULTS:At the 8th week of treatment, the total effective rate of 52 patients was 58%,and at the 12th week of treatment, the total effective rate was 86%.There were significant differences in dry eyes, dry mouth, dry nose, dry skin, dry stool, joint pain and fatigue between 8 weeks and 12 weeks(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference in the scores of dry vulva, parotid gland enlargement and fever after treatment. The VAS scores of dry mouth and dry eye in 52 patients before and after treatment had statistical significance(P<0.05).Schirmer I test scores of 52 patients before and after treatment were analyzed, the difference was statistically significant(P?0.05)Conclusion:Through clinical observation,it is preliminarily confirmed that Shuanghua Yuyin Decoction has obvious effect on improving the symptoms of primary Sjogren's syndrome patients with Yin deficiency and dryness-heat type, and has certain effect on improving the lacrimal gland secretion function of patients with fewer adverse reactions, which deserves further exploration.
