Objective: Carotid atherosclerosis(CAS)is used as a window to study type 2 diabetic macroangiopathy.It is necessary to observe the correlation and risk factors between serum cystatin C and T2 DM carotid atherosclerosis,in type 2 diabetes.It is of great significance to intervene and treat macrovascular disease such as heart and cerebrovascular events as early as possible,and further provide support and new ideas for the related basic research on the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetic macroangiopathy.Methods: According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,82 patients with T2 DM who were hospitalized from March to December2018 in the Department of Metabolism and Endocrinology of the Central Hospital of Yongzhou Central Hospital were in accordance with WHO's1999 T2 DM diagnostic criteria,including 45 males and 37 females.The82 patients underwent color Doppler ultrasonography of the neck and were further divided into carotid atherosclerosis group(CAS)according to the carotid intima-media thickness(CIMT).(CIMT ? 1.0 mm with orwithout plaque),no carotid atherosclerosis(NCAS)(CIMT < 1.0 mm),with an average age of 56.85 ± 9.94 years in the T2 DM group and a mean age of 58.78 in the T2 DM and CAS groups.±12.54 years old;39 healthy people in the same period were selected as the control group,including19 females and 20 males,with an average age of 57.38±8.61 years.The general data and biochemical indicators(course duration,body mass index,Systolic blood pressure,diastolic blood pressure,total cholesterol,triglycerides,low density lipoprotein,high density lipoprotein,homocysteine,fasting venous blood glucose,serum cystatin C,glycosylated hemoglobin,statistics analyze data.Results: Three groups of comparison: the mean value of cystatin C in type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with carotid atherosclerosis group was significantly higher than that in control group and type 2 diabetes group(P<0.05);the results of serum Cystatin C and Pearson correlation analysis showed that cystatin There was a positive correlation between C and systolic blood pressure,LDL,HbA1 C,Hcy(P<0.01),a negative correlation between Cystatin C and HDL(P<0.01),Cystatin C and age,BMI,diastolic blood pressure,There was no correlation between disease course,FBG,TG and TC(P>0.05).Cystatin C was one of the risk factors for carotid atherosclerosis in type 2 diabetes by multivariate regression analysis.Conclusions: 1 serum cystatin C is associated with carotidatherosclerosis in type 2 diabetes,which is one of the risk factors.Increased levels of cystatin C may be involved in the promotion of carotid atherosclerosis in type 2 diabetic patients.The mechanism needs further basic research,monitoring its level or further combining with other indicators may develop into a good predictor of carotid atherosclerosis in type 2 diabetes.2 Serum cystatin C level is positively correlated with low density lipoprotein,systolic blood pressure,homocysteine,glycosylated hemoglobin,and good control of the above indicators may reduce serum cystatin C levels,which is beneficial to delay type 2 diabetes.The occurrence and development of carotid atherosclerosis in patients.
