Objective: To investigate the change characteristics of plasma Apelin-13,IL-1?,TNF-? and BDNF in ischemic stroke patients and the relationship between these plasma markers and post stroke cognitive impairment(PSCI).Methods: 120 patients with acute ischemic stroke who met and agreed to participate in the study were recruited.General patient information such as age, gender, height, etc.;clinical data, including blood routine, head MRI images and hypertension, diabetes and other related medical history and blood samples were collected during hospitalization.Plasma Apelin-13,BDNF,TNF-? and IL-1? concentrations were measured by Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Follow-up was completed approximately 3 months after discharge. The data were analyzed by SPSS software using Student's t test,Pearson Correlation Coefficient and multiple linear regression. Results: 1.Compared with normal controls, the concentrations of Apelin-13 in the acute phase and follow-up phase of the ischemic stroke decreased(p<0.001),while the follow-up phase increased compared with the acute phase(p=0.001).The IL-1? concentrations in both periods were within the normal range, but the follow-up phase was lower than that in the acute phase(p=0.032).The concentrations of TNF-? and BDNF in the acute phase and follow-up phase were significantly higher than the upper limit of the normal range.TNF-? concentrations did not fluctuate significantly during the two phases(p=0.766),while BDNF decreased during follow-up phase(p=0.002).2.Apelin-13(r = 0.373,p < 0.01)and BDNF(r = 0.222,p < 0.05)of acute phase were positively correlated with acute phase TNF-a,follow-up phase Aplein-13 and IL-1? were positively correlated(r = 0.384,p< 0.05).3.According to MoCA score in follow-up phase, the patients were divided into PSCI and PSNCI groups. The concentrations of Apelin-13 in the acute phase of PSCI group was higher than that in PSNCI group(p<0.05).The difference value of plasma markers in different periods was compared between the two groups. The difference value of Apelin-13 was found to be statistically significant(p< 0.05).Multiple linear regression results suggest that Apelin-13 in the acute phase has a negative predictive effect on MoCA score of follow-up phase(?:-0.029,SE: 0.01,p<0.01);The follow-up phase TNF-? has a negative predictive effect on MoCA score of follow-up phase(?:-0.089,SE: 0.025,p< 0.01).IL-1? and BDNF may not be associated with post-stroke cognitive function. Conclusion: 1.The concentrations of plasma Apelin-13 decreased after ischemic stroke, and the concentrations of TNF-? and BDNF increased, while the concentrations of IL-1? did not change.2.The acute phase Apelin-13 and BDNF were positively correlated with acute phase TNF-? in patients with acute ischemic stroke. There was a positive correlation between Aplein-13 and IL-1? in the follow-up phase.3.The concentrations of Apelin13 in the acute phase and TNF-? in the follow-up phase were negatively related to post-stroke cognitive function of the follow-up phase. There was no correlation between the plasma BDNF,IL-1? and post-stroke cognitive function.
