Objective:To learn more about the evolving and current situation of the patterns of care of operable breast cancer in our hospital in the past 8 years, and compare with domestic and foreign clinical guidelines, discover some deficiency, provide baseline data for further standardizing clinical practice.Material&Method:The retrospective study obtained and analyzed data from records of patients operated for breast cancer in our hospital during 2017,based on the survey data of the patterns of care of breast cancer patients from 2009 to 2010.To record patient characteristics, pathologic features, diagnostic method and treatment course through medical records access and telephone follow-up.Finally,compared with the data from 2009 to 2010 to analyzed the evolving of the patterns of care of operable breast cancer in our hospital in the past 8 years. Results:Overall included 214 patients, the median age was 51 years(range,26-83),and 48.1%patients were premenopausal. Before surgery, the utilization rate of ultrasound, mammography and magnetic resonance was 100.0%,78.9%%,16.3%,respectively.The positive rate of estrogen receptors and progesterone receptors was 65.7%and 57.1%,29.4%were positive for HER2.Compared with 2009-2010,the patients in this group were diagnosed with smaller tumor size and earlier stage.22.0%patients received breast-conserving surgery,Breast retention rate increased by 4.8%(P=0.054),breast reconstruction was performed in 4 patients, the use of sentinel lymph node biopsy increased from 1 case to 27.1%.The average number of lymph nodes dissected by axillary lymph node dissection increased by 9.5(P<0.001).87.7%of patients who had radiotherapy indications received radiotherapy, increased by 12.5%(P=0.011).89.2%patients with indications for chemotherapy actually received chemotherapy and 92.3%of hormone receptor-positive patients received endocrine therapy,Similar to 8 years ago.77.8%of HER2-positive patients received trastuzumab therapy. Conclusion:Compared with 2009-2010,there are the some improvements can be seen in the diagnosis and treatment level of patients with operable breast cancer in our hospital.Especially in the early diagnosis of breast cancer, the promotion and application of sentinel lymph node biopsy, the degree of axillary lymph node dissection and the implementation of postoperative radiotherapy. However, compared with the medical level of western developed countries and the requirements of clinical norms, there is still a certain gap.
