| The growing rate of population aging poses a series of pension problems.China has a large population base and the rising of the elderly population with kinds of diseases frequently.The phenomenon of disability caused by illness and old age is becoming more and more serious,placing a huge burden on the society and the family.The increasingly disability requires the growing demand for long-term care,especially in rural areas,where the proportion of the disabled elderly is higher than in urban areas.How to meet the growing needs of long-term care for the disabled elderly in rural areas is a problem that cannot be ignored,including the professional needs of the nursing staff,the spiritual comfort needs and medical care needs of disabled elderly.Through the analysis of CHARLS(2011-2015)data,this paper uses four indexes:the activities of daily living,the sensory ability,the cognitive ability and the psychological depression degree to evaluate the disability grade and analyze the long-term care needs of rural elderly.The study analyzed the physiological needs,safety needs,love and belonging needs of the disabled elderly in rural areas for long-term care,and found that there still exist many problems in the long-term nursing needs of the disabled elderly in rural areas,such as the lack of family care resources;the lack of medical services for disabled elderly;the lack of communication with their children;the serious mental depression and less social activities.As a result,this paper puts forward the following countermeasures and suggestions to meet the long-term nursing needs of the disabled elderly in rural areas:first,establish a family policy support system for the disabled elderly in rural areas to ensure the sustainability of home care;second,improve the medical service system for the disabled elderly in rural areas and pay attention to the health of the disabled elderly;third,encourage the children of disabled elderly in rural areas to communicate with them regularly to meet their needs for "Home";fourth,pay attention to the mental health of disabled elderly in rural areas especially the mental depression diseases;fifth,provide places for social activities in rural areas and encourage the disabled elderly to participate in social activities. |
