Objective:To evaluate the left ventricular myocardial function in patients with type 2 diabetes and normal women before and after menopause by two-dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography, summarizing the differences in left ventricular myocardial function of patients with type 2 diabetes before and after menopause. Methods:Analyzing the left ventricular myocardial function in women with type 2 diabetes and normal women in Affiliated ZhongShan Hospital,Xiamen University from June to December 2018 by two-dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography, and comparing the results of longitudinal strain and circumferential strain, diastolic function related indexes of left ventricular myocardium.Statistical analysis was performed using independent sample t-test to analyze the changes in left ventricular myocardial function in patients with type 2 diabetes before and after menopause.Results:Two-dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography:There was no statistically significant difference in circumferential strain and longitudinal strain in normal women before and after menopause, type 2 diabetes women after menopause and normal women after menopause(P>0.05).In the type 2 diabetes women, the strain values in the middle myocardium and outer myocardium of the circumferential strain before and after menopause were statistically significant(P<0.05).In the postmenopausal women with type 2 diabetes and normal postmenopausal women, the strain values in the middle myocardium of longitudinal strain and the middle myocardium and outer myocardium of circumferential strain were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conventional echocardiography:There was no significant difference in diastolic function related indicators between premenopausal women with type 2 diabetes and premenopausal normal women(P>0.05).Compared with premenopausal and postmenopausal normal women, only in the TDI early diastolic mitral annulus ventricular and mitral annulus velocity e’ was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with premenopausal and postmenopausal women with Type 2 diabetes, normal group and type 2 diabetes after menopausal,A,DT,E/e’,E/A,TDI early diastolic mitral annulus ventricular and mitral annulus velocity e’ were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:(1)There were no significant differences in systolic and diastolic function between normal menopausal and postmenopausal women.(2)Postmenopausal women with type 2 diabetes have decreased systolic and diastolic function compared with premenopausal women with type 2 diabetes.Premenopausal women with type 2 diabetes have no systolic and diastolic function difference compared with normal women. It is speculated that the higher levels of female hormones in the premenopausal women with type 2 diabetes has a certain protective effect on cardiac contraction and diastolic function.
