| Objective To explore the characteristics and influencing factors of lymph node metastasis in patients with subthoracic esophageal squamous carcinoma of T3 within 1 year after Ivor Lewis surgery. Methods Retrospective analysis of clinical and pathological data of 140 patients with middle and lower esophageal cancer who underwent Ivor Lewis surgery in our hospital from Jan 2013 to Dec 2015.To compare the differences in age, sex, tumor size,G stage,N stage, number of lymph nodes dissected, postoperative chemotherapy and postoperative complications between patients with lymph node metastasis within 1 year(relapse group)and those without lymph node metastasis within 1 year(no relapse group). Results Univariate analysis showed that relapse group and no relapse group have significantly statistical differences in N staging and number of lymph nodes dissected(P < 0.05),while the two groups have no significantly statistical difference in age, sex, tumor size,G stage, postoperative chemotherapy and postoperative complications(P > 0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that N staging and number of dissected lymph nodes were all independent influencing factors for lymph node metastasis in patients with lower esophageal cancer in T3 within 1 year after surgery(P < 0.05).Conclusion N staging and number of lymph nodes dissected were relatedto lymph node metastasis in patients with lower esophageal squamous carcinoma in T3 within 1 year after Ivor Lewis surgery, which was an independent influencing factor. |
