Multiple myeloma(MM)is the second most common hematological malignancy characterized by monoclonal malignant hyperplasia infiltration of plasma cells in the bloodstream, and secretes monoclonal immunoglobulins or fragments thereof.Related organs and tissues cause damage. At present, imaging examination plays a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of multiple myeloma, and PET/CT examination combined with nuclear medicine and imaging is more and more widely used in neoplastic diseases. The detection of morphological and functional changes in the lesion provides strong evidence for the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of the tumor. Its role in multiple myeloma is gradually being explored, but PET/CT is in MM.Relative research is relatively rare. Objective To explore the relationship between the maximum standardized value(SUVmax)of 18F-FDG PET/CT and the number of lesions and clinical prognosis parameters of multiple myeloma, and provide new indicators for the diagnosis and evaluation of multiple myeloma. Methods The maximum standard uptake value(SUVmax)and number of lesions and related parameters such as gender,age,Durie-Salmon stage(DS stage),hemoglobin, albumin, serum were analyzed by 18F-FDG PET/CT in 51 newly diagnosed MM patients in our hospital.Correlation between calcium, creatinine, lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),β2 microglobulin(β2MG),percentage of bone marrow plasma cells, and Ki67 positive expression rate in bone marrow tissues, and analysis of differences in PET/CT related parameters between different therapeutic effects Relevant indicators can be collected by our hospital case inquiry system, and immunohistochemical staining technique is used to detect the positive expression of Ki67 in bone marrow pathological tissues. Results 1.There was a significant difference between the SUVmax values of different groups of hemoglobin(P < 0.001),creatinine(P < 0.001),β2 microglobulin(P < 0.001),Ki67 positive rate(P = 0.008),and stage(P = 0.002).There was no significant difference in SUVmax between the different sex, age, albumin, serum calcium, lactate dehydrogenase, and percentage of bone marrow plasma cells(P >0.05).2.There were significant differences in the number of lesions between different groups of LDH(P < 0.001)and plasma cell ratio(P < 0.001),while different groups of gender, age, stage, hemoglobin, albumin, serum calcium,creatinine,β2microspheres There was no significant difference in the number of lesions between protein and bone marrow Ki67 positive rate(P > 0.05);3.There was a correlation between SUVmax and hemoglobin,creatinine,β2microglobulin and Ki67 positive rate(P > 0.05).4.The SUVmax values of the patients who were evaluated as ineffective after 4 courses of chemotherapy were significantly higher than those of the patients(P< 0.05).Conclusion 18F-FDG PET/CT can be used as a reference for assessing MM staging, prognosis and response to MM tumor proliferation, especially the SUVmax value detected is closely related to the biological characteristics of MM.This study may provide a reference for the role of PET/CT in MM.
