Objective In this paper,the expression of progesterone receptor(PR),CD146,PTEN and P53 in endometrioid adenocarcinoma was detected by immunohistochemistry,and the relationship between these proteins and clinical and pathological characteristics was analyzed,and we will further explore the significance of the combined detection of various proteins in PR negative endometrioid adenocarcinoma.Methods From January 2014 to March 2018,a total of 96 cases of endometrioid adenocarcinoma diagnosed by pathologists after surgical treatment in the first affiliated hospital of Yangtze university were collected.At the same time to ensure that the patients do not receive preoperative radiotherapy,chemotherapy,endocrine therapy and other special treatment.Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of PR,CD146,PTEN and P53 in endometrioid adenocarcinoma,and we will further explore the correlation between these proteins and clinical and pathological characteristics.Results 1)Correlation between PR and clinicopathological characteristics of endometrioid adenocarcinoma:PR positive expression was showing a negative correlation with the histological grade of endometrioid adenocarcinoma(P < 0.05).Its expression had no correlation with FIGO staging(P > 0.05).2)Correlation between CD146 and the clinicopathological characteristics of endometrioid adenocarcinoma:The expression of CD146 had no correlation with the histological grade and FIGO staging of endometrioid adenocarcinoma(P > 0.05),but the positive expression of CD146 showed an increasing trend with the increase of histological grade.3)Correlation between PTEN and the clinicopathological characteristics of endometrioid adenocarcinoma:The expression of PTEN had no correlation with the histological grade and FIGO staging of endometrioid adenocarcinoma(P > 0.05),but the negative expression rate of PTEN was higher in histological grade 1 than in histological grade 2 and 3.4)Correlation between P53 and the clinicopathological characteristics of endometrioid adenocarcinoma: The expression of P53 was correlated with the histological grade of endometrioid adenocarcinoma and presented a positive correlation and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Its expression had no correlation with FIGO staging(P > 0.05).5)Correlation between the expressions of PR,CD146,PTEN,P53 and the age of patients: There was no correlation between the expressions of PR,CD146,PTEN,P53 and the age of patients(P > 0.05).6)Correlation of CD146,PTEN and P53 expressions with clinicopathological characteristics in PR positive endometrioid adenocarcinoma:There were 52 cases of endometrioid adenocarcinoma whose PR were positive,accounting for 54.17% of all endometrioid adenocarcinoma tissues.The expressions of CD146,PTEN and P53 in PR positive had no correlation with the histological grade and FIGO staging of endometrioid adenocarcinoma(P > 0.05).7)Correlation between the expressions of CD146,PTEN,P53 and the clinicopathological characteristics of endometrioid adenocarcinoma in PR negative endometrioid adenocarcinoma:There were 52 cases of endometrioid adenocarcinoma whose PR were negative,accounting for 45.83% of all endometrioid adenocarcinoma tissues.When PR was negative,the expression of CD146 was positively correlated with the histological grade of endometrioid adenocarcinoma(P < 0.05).Its expression had no correlation with FIGO staging(P > 0.05).The expression of PTEN had no correlation with the histological grade and FIGO staging of endometrioid adenocarcinoma(P > 0.05),but the negative expression rate of PTEN was higher in histological grade 1 than in histological grade 2 and 3.The expression of P53 was positively correlated with the histological grade of endometrioid adenocarcinoma(P < 0.05).Its expression had no correlation with FIGO staging(P > 0.05).8)Correlation of the expressions of PR,CD146,PTEN and P53 in all cases of endometrioid adenocarcinoma:The expression of PR was positively correlated with the expression of P53(r=0.233,P < 0.05),while the expression of PR had no correlation with the expression of CD146 and PTEN(P > 0.05),and the expression of PTEN was positively correlated with the expression of P53(r=0.302,P < 0.05).Conclusion 1)In PR negative endometrioid adenocarcinoma,the expressions of CD146 and P53 were positively correlated with histological grade,but there was no correlation in PR positive endometrioid adenocarcinoma,suggesting that there may be different molecular mechanisms between PR positive and negative expression.2)In PR negative endometrioid adenocarcinoma,the expression of CD146 was positively correlated with the histological grade,which is expected to be a potential therapeutic target in the future.3)The loss expression of PTEN in grade 1 was higher than that in grade 2 and grade 3,suggesting that PTEN may be a molecular marker in low-grade endometrioid adenocarcinoma.The expression of P53 in grade 3 was significantly higher than that in grade 1 and grade 2,suggesting that P53 may be a molecular marker in high-grade endometrioid adenocarcinoma,also the expression of PTEN and P53 is correlated.Combined detection of PTEN and P53 may be a new standard to judge the malignant degree and prognosis of endometrioid adenocarcinoma.
