Background Cardiovascular disease(CVD)is now one of the leading causes of death in the world.Hypertension is not only the most important risk factor, but also a common clinical chronic disease.Hypertension has a damaging effect on the small arteries of the whole body.Long-term non-intervention can eventually cause damage to multiple organs.According to statistics, the prevalence of hypertension in the elderly is as high as 58.9%,but the control rate is only 16.1%.Hypertension not only threatens human life, but its complications increase the social and economic burden. Therefore, the use of antihypertensive drugs is of great significance to improve the prognosis of patients and reduce social and economic pressure. In recent years, the complex relationship between hypertension, antihypertensive drugs and sexual function has gradually been understood. The damage of vascular endothelium and atherosclerosis caused by hypertension are one of the main causes of sexual dysfunction. The risk of sexual dysfunction increases with age,and about 60% of adult women in China have sexual dysfunction. At present, research at home and abroad is more concerned with the sexual function of male hypertensive patients, and there are few studies on sexual function in female hypertensive patients.Female sexual dysfunction(FSD)caused by antihypertensive drugs not only has a significant impact on the quality of life of female patients, but also significantly reduces drug compliance and blood pressure compliance rates. Therefore,we correctly understand the relationship between antihypertensive drugs and female sexual function, and reasonable selection of antihypertensive drugs is worthy of attention. Objective This study investigated the effects of Nifedipine?Perindopril and Valsartan on the sexual function of non-menopausal women with hypertension.By exploring the possible mechanism of action of antihypertensive drugs on female sexual function,it provides a basis for clinical drug use in female hypertensive patients. Methods A total of 104 female patients with hypertension who were initially treated and met the inclusion criteria were collected between December 2017 and June 2018.They are from Jingzhou First People's Hospital,Jianli County Chinese Medicine Hospital and Jianli County Second People's Hospital outpatient or inpatient department. They were randomly divided into calcium channel blockers(CCB)group of 37 patients and oral nifedipine sustained release tablets 10mg/bid,angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor(ACEI)group of 33 patients and oral perindopril tablets 4mg/qd,angiotensin receptor blockers(ARB)group of 34 patients and oral valsartan capsule 80mg/qd.After taking the drug for 1 week, the blood pressure is still higher than the normal level, and the corresponding drug should be doubled for further treatment.A total of 24 weeks of follow-up.Subjects underwent self-assessment of the female sexual function index(FSFI)and monitored blood pressure at the initial visit and the 12 th and 24 th week after oral medication. The standard is blood pressure <140/90 mmHg from ? Guidelines for Prevention and Treatment of Hypertension in China(Revised 2017)?.Data analysis using SPSS 17.0 statistical software.Measurement data were described by meanąSD.Paired t-test of independent samples was used for comparison before and after treatment in the same group. Before comparing the data among multiple groups, the normality test was carried out,and the one-way analysis of variance was used for the normal distribution, while the kruskal-wallis method was used for the non-normal distribution. The counting data were described by percentage composition ratio and chi-square test was applied.P values less than 0.05 were considered as statistically significant. Results After 3 weeks and more of treatment, the blood pressure of the three groups was significantly lower than before(P<0.05)and there was no significant difference in systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure between the three groups after administration(P>0.05).After 12 weeks of treatment, there was no significant difference before and after treatment in sexual function between the three groups(P>0.05).After 24 weeks of treatment, there was no difference before and after treatment in sexual function in the CCB group(P>0.05),but both the ACEI group and the ARB group improved in sexual desire and sexual arousal ability(P<0.05).Conclusion Nifedipine has no effect on sexual function in premenopausal women with hypertension, but perindopril and valsartan can improve female sexual function.
