Purpose:The relationship between collateral circulation and ischemic stroke after unilateral middle cerebral artery occlusion and the influence of cerebrovascular risk factors on collateral circulation were investigated from clinical symptoms and infarct volume.Method:The patient was enrolled in the Department of Neurology,China-Japan Joint Hospital of Jilin University.DSA confirmed clinical data of 78 patients with unilateral middle cerebral artery occlusion. The results included careful reading of DSA images of patients enrolled by experienced cerebrovascular interventionists. The volume of the DWI infarct was calculated by blocking the collateral circulation of the middle cerebral artery by ACG grading. After admission, patients were collected for common risk factors for cerebrovascular disease. After classifying the data, the data were grouped: after the classification data, there were 30 good collateral circulation,48 were poor,20 were small infarction,8 were moderate infarction, and 50 were large.infarction.The relationship between infarct volume and collateral circulation, the relationship between clinical symptoms and collateral circulation, and the influence of cerebrovascular high risk factors on collateral circulation were analyzed.Result:Patients with good collateral circulation had a small infarct size and there was a significant relationship between them(P < 0.05).The clinical manifestations of patients with different collateral circulation were also significantly correlated(P < 0.05).The clinical symptoms of patients with good collateral circulation were mild;smoking, atrial fibrillation affected the establishment of collateral circulation(P <0.05),with statistical significance. Conclusion:After occlusion of the middle cerebral artery, patients with good collateral circulation had small infarct size and mild clinical symptoms;smoking and atrial fibrillation affected the opening and establishment of collateral circulation.
