Clinical Observation Of Embolization Beads Interventional Therapy For Unresectable Liver Cancer

Objective Observe the curative effect and adverse reaction of embolization beads in interventional embolization of unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma,and to provide safe and reasonable treatment for clinical.Method Collected 203 unresectable liver cancer patient’s clinical cases from June 2016 to February 2018 in the department of hepatobiliary surgery,the first affiliated clinical hospital of guangxi medical university.These patients used embolization beads or Iodized oil as the embolic materials to treatment their disease.According to the types of embolic materials,the patients was divided into drug loading embolization beads group(DEB-group),blank embolization beads group(BED-group)and iodized oil group(IO-group).Observed the adverse reactions and therapeutic effects of the three groups.Result Liver function and hematological changes were observed in all three groups 2 days after surgery,and these changes were basically restored to the preoperative level 1 month after surgery.Postoperative adverse reactions including fever,abdominal pain,nausea and vomiting occurred in the three groups,and mild cholecystitis occurred in one patient in the DEB-group.Forpatients with high AFP before TACE in the embolization beads group,both the rate and the extent of decrease of AFP after TACE treatment were higher than those in the iodinated oil group.The objective response rate in DEB-group,BED-group and IO-group were(34.3%vs27.7%vs35.5%),(37.7%vs36.4%vs31.4%)and(38.5%vs48.3%vs30.8%)in 1 month,3 months and 6 months after treatment.The disease control rates were(78.6%vs70.8%vs69.1%),(71.7%vs63.6%vs58.8%)and(66.7%vs65.5% vs48.7%)in 1 month,3 months and 6months after treatment(P>0.05).The proportion of cases resection after TACE treatment with step-down surgery was 12.9% in DEB-group,7.7%% in BEDgroup,4.4% in IO-group(P>0.05).conclusion 1.Embolization beads may have some adverse reactions in the interventional embolization treatment of unresectable liver cancer,but there are no serious complications,and the treatment is safe.2.Embolization beads,especially drug loading embolization beads,have better therapeutic effect than iodized oil.Embolization beads is worthy of clinical application and exploration.
