Objective:To investigate the proportion of peripheral CD4+T cell subsets in the patients with acute thalamic and basal ganglia hemorrhage.Methods:13 patients with acute thalamic hemorrhage and 13 with acute basal ganglia hemorrhage admitted to the Neurology Department of the First Bethune Hospital of Jilin University between January 2018 to January 2019 were included. All ICH patients were confirmed by head CT or MRI and were selected in accordance with inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria.Age and sex-matched 13 non-stroke people were enrolled as the control group from the medical examination center during the same period.Peripheral blood was collected from patients in the morning on day 3 and day 7 post ICH.The same amount of blood sample was collected from the controls.Flow cytometry and Flow Jo were used to detect the proportion of Th1,Th2,Th17 and Treg in CD4+T cells.Results:1.Results of Th1,Th2,Treg and Th17 in thalamic hemorrhage group and basal ganglia hemorrhage group on day 3:(1)Campared with control group,Th2 cells and Th17 cells were significantly increased, while Treg cells and Treg/Th17 were significantly decreased.(2)Campared with control group,Th2 cells and Th17 cells were significantly increased, while Th1/Th2 and Treg/Th17 were significantly decreased.2.Results of Th1,Th2,Treg and Th17 in thalamic hemorrhage group and basal ganglia hemorrhage group on day 7:(1)Campared with control group,Th2 cells and Th17 cells were significantly increased, while Treg cells,Th1/Th2 and Treg/Th17 were significantly decreased.(2)Campared with control group,Th2 cells and Th17 cells were significantly increased, while Th1/Th2 and Treg/Th17 were significantly decreased.3.Comparison of each immune cell in the thalamic hemorrhage group and basal ganglia hemorrhage group between day 3 and day 7:(1)Thalamic group:Treg cells were significantly increased overtime, other cells did not show significant differences.(2)Basal ganglia: Each immune cells did not show any significant differences overtime.4.Comparison of changes of each immune cell between the thalamic hemorrhage group and the basal ganglia hemorrhage group:The elevation of Treg cells in patients with thalamic stroke was slightly higher than that in patients with basal ganglia stroke, but there was no statistical significance(P = 0.080).Th1,Th2,Th17,Th1/Th2 or Treg/Th17 did not show significant difference between these two groups Conclusion:1.After the onset of intracerebral hemorrhage both pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory effects were activated.2.Th17 cell may play a major role in damage, while Th2 cell may play a protective role after stroke.3.There was no significant difference between the effects of thalamic hemorrhage and basal ganglia hemorrhage on the immune system.
