Measurement Of The Maxillary Anterior Area For Miniscrew Insertion In Different Skeletal Facial Types With CBCT

Obiective:CBCT was used to measure the placement sites of implant nails in different vertical osseofacial anterior teeth.It is hoped that the safe range of implant nails in anterior teeth of patients with different vertical osseofacial types can be understood more comprehensively.It can provide some reference for the selection of implant position and direction of micro-implant anchorage in orthodontic clinic,and make more reasonable implant plan for patients.Methods: Three-dimensional imaging data of adult patients with malocclusion treated with implant nail anchorage in anterior teeth were collected from the Department of Orthodontics,First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.According to the size of mandibular plane angle,there were three groups: high-angle group,equal-angle group and low-angle group.There were 20 cases in each group,with 10 males and 10 females,totally 60 cases.In the upper anterior teeth area,the sagittal plane of each ridge apex was marked with 4 mm,6 mm and 8 mm measurement sites respectively.The thickness of labiopalatal alveolar bone and the minimum distance between distal and distal roots were measured at the three locations between maxillary central incisors,bilateral central incisors and lateral incisors,and between lateral incisors and canines.Results:(1)In the three groups,there was no significant difference in the mea-surements of the thickness of the alveolar bone on the left and right sides of the lip and palate and the minimum distance between the distal and distal apices.(2)In the three groups,there was no significant difference in the measurements of the alveolar bone thickness from the lip and palate and the minimum distance from the mesial to distal apex between the male and female groups.(3)The thickness of alveolar bone was the thickest at 8 mm between the central incisor and the lateral incisor,and the thinnest at 4 mm between the central incisor and the lateral incisor.(4)The maximum distance was 8 mm between the two central incisors,and the minimum distance was 4 mm between the central incisors and the lateral incisors.(5)The thickness of alveolar bone in low-angle group was larger than that in even-angle group,while that in high-angle group was the thinnest.Conclusion:Implantation can be considered at the level of 6 mm or more between central incisors and lateral incisors.Implantation can be considered at the level of 8 mm or more between central incisors and lateral incisors.
