Background and purposeAnalyze the expression difference of FAM83 A in lung adenocarcinoma and normal paracancerous tissues, the difference of clinicopathological features and prognosis between low expression group and high expression group of lung adenocarcinoma, and provide new directions for finding new therapeutic targets and prognostic factors for patients with lung adenocarcinoma.Materials and MethodsThe FAM83 A mRNA expression data and corresponding clinical data of lung adenocarcinoma patients were downloaded from the Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)database, and were divided into para-cancer normal control group and lung adenocarcinoma group.According to the expression level of FAM83 A,the lung adenocarcinoma data was divided into FAM83 A low group and FAM83 A high group. The relationships of FAM83 A expression with the clinicopathological features and the prognosis of the patients were analyzed.Results1.The expression of FAM83 A mRNA in the lung adenocarcinoma group was higher than that in the para-cancer normal control group(P<0.01).2.Between FAM83 A low group and FAM83 A high expression group, there was significant differences in the clinical staging,T and N staging(all P<0.05),while no significant difference in age, gender, and M staging(all P>0.05).3.The expression of FAM83 A mRNA was significantly higher in clinical stageIII-IV and T3-4 lung adenocarcinoma patients than that in clinical stage I-II andT1-2 patients(all P<0.05),while no significant difference between N0-1 and N2-3,M0 and M1(all P>0.05).4.The median survival time of FAM83 A low group and FAM83 A high group were 1622 days and 1357 days respectively, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).5.COX multiple regression analysis showed that the high expression of FAM83A mRNA was an independent risk factor for poor prognosis in patients with lung adenocarcinoma(HR 1.458,P<0.05).ConclusionThe expression of FAM83 A mRNA was increased in lung adenocarcinoma. The FAM83 A was related to the clinical stage,T,N stage and prognosis of the patients, and it was an independent factor influencing the prognosis of lung adenocarcinoma patients.
