Correlation Between Serum Albumin Level And Short-Term Prognosis Of Autoimmune Encephalitis

Objective:1.To analyze the clinical data of serum albumin low value group and albumin normal group AE patients,to study the risk factors of serum albumin reduction in AE patients.2.Study the correlation between serum albumin level and short-term prognosis of AE.Methods:Patients who were admitted to the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University and the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from June 2015 to October 2018 and were finally diagnosed with AE were enrolled.According to the inclusion criteria of this study,46 patients with AE were enrolled,including serum.There were 21 cases of albumin low value group and 25 cases of normal serum albumin group.The clinical data of the patient’s general condition,clinical manifestations,laboratory tests,etc.were collected,and the clinical data of the two groups were analyzed to evaluate the risk factors of serum albumin reduction in AE patients.At the same time,the prognosis of the two groups of patients was analyzed for 3 months.Logistic regression analysis of independent risk factors affecting short-term prognosis of AE by univariate analysis of other factors associated with AE prognosis.Results:1.The serum albumin low value group AE patients compared with the serum normal albumin group AE patients,the former’s hemoglobin content was significantly reduced(P= 0.022),ALT and AST significantly increased(P = 0.002,P = 0.032),the disease severity is more Heavy(P=0.038).2.The independent risk factors for serum albumin reduction in AE patients were analyzed.The results suggest that the severity of illness at admission(mRS ≥ 4)isindependently associated with decreased serum albumin levels in AE patients.(OR=0.112,95% CI 0.020-0.623,P=0.012).3.Using univariate analysis and factors associated with short-term prognosis of AE,serum albumin reduction,ALT/AST elevation,and elevated blood urea nitrogen were risk factors for short-term prognosis of AE(P=0.022,P=0.019,P=0.026).4.Logistic regression analysis was used to study the independent risk factors for short-term prognosis of AE.The results showed that serum albumin reduction was an independent risk factor for short-term prognosis of AE(OR=4.152,95% CI1.060-16.279,P=0.041).Conclusion:1.The serum albumin low value group AE patients with severe disease,mRs ≥4 is independent correlation of serum albumin reduction in AE patients.2.Serum albumin reduction is an independent risk factor for short-term prognosis in AE.
