Investigation On The Cognition And Satisfaction With The Bracketless Invisible Aligner Technology Of Orthodontists And Patients

Objective: In order to understand the application status of the bracketless invisible aligner technology in JiangXI Province and to provide reference for promoting application and improving efficacy,we investigated the cognition and satisfaction of orthodontists and patients with the technology in our province.Methods: 100 orthodontists who had developed this technique and had treated more than 6 patients and 372 invisible correction patients in our province were randomly selected for questionnaire survey.The survey results were statistically analyzed.Result:1.Cognition and satisfaction of orthodontists: More than 95% of orthodontists believe that the technology has good prospects for development.But at present,if the direct relatives were to correct teeth,the proportion of choosing this technology is much lower than that of traditional orthodontics.There was no correlation between the number of patients treated with this technique and the number of patients treated with traditional fixed orthodontics.Orthodontists are most receptive in reducing chair-side operation time and facilitating communication with 3D animation,but only 22% of them believe that they can achieve the same effect as traditional fixed orthodontics do.2.Cognition and satisfaction of patients : The patients' understanding of the technology is mainly due to the influence of friends or family members,followed by online publicity and star effect.The patients' satisfaction with the technology is related to age,gender,family monthly income,education,and the lowest satisfaction with price and pain.Conclusion:1.Doctors generally believe that the bracketless invisible aligner technology has good prospects for development,but there are differences in the effect between the traditional fixed orthodontic technology and bracketless invisible aligner technology.2.Doctors believe that the main advantages of bracketless invisible aligner technology are reducing chair-side operation time and facilitating communication with 3D animation.3.Patients have higher satisfaction with the bracketless invisible correction technique,but the satisfaction of the technique is the lowest.
