Objective: To collect and analyze the causes, gender and age of chronic wound formation in patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from January 1,1999 to December 31,2018.To understand the changes of disease spectrum of chronic wounds in Guangxi in recent 20 years, analyze the causes and make relevant countermeasures. To formulate relevant intervention measures to reduce the incidence of chronic wound diseases and to provide clinical basis for improving the therapeutic effect. Methods: Collect 2839 cases of chronic hospitalization in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from January 1,1999 to December 31,2018.The causes and types of chronic wound formation were analyzed.According to the average number and proportion of chronic wounds in5 years,a simple comparison was made to understand the etiological changes of chronic wounds.Result: According to different causes, chronic wounds can be divided into many kinds.Chronic wounds were classified into 10 types.1.Traumatic wounds2.Burn and disability 3.Diabetic wounds 4.Infectious wounds 5.Tumor wounds 6.Snakeworm bite wounds 7.Arteriovenous ulcer wounds 8.Scar wounds 9.Stress ulcer(bedsore,etc.)10.iatrogenic wounds. From 1999 to 2003,459 patients with chronic wounds were treated, including 167 traumatic wounds,64 burn and disability wounds,50 diabetic wounds,38 infected wounds,8cancerous wounds,16 insect and snake bites,10 arteriovenous ulcer wounds,64 scar ulcer wounds,15 pressure ulcer wounds and 27 iatrogenic wounds.From2004 to 2008,496 patients with chronic wounds were treated, including 164 traumatic wounds,47 burn wounds,67 diabetic wounds,62 infected wounds,18 cancerous wounds,20 insect-snake bites,11 arteriovenous ulcers,66 scar ulcers,25 pressure ulcers and 16 iatrogenic wounds. From 2009 to 2013,600 patients with chronic wounds were treated, including 157 traumatic wounds,55 burn and disability wounds,74 diabetic wounds,111 infected wounds,38 cancerous wounds,25 insect and snake bites,16 arteriovenous ulcer wounds,75 scar ulcer wounds,22 pressure ulcer wounds and 27 iatrogenic wounds. From 2014 to2018,1284 patients with chronic wounds were treated, including 282 traumatic wounds,109 burn wounds,148 diabetic wounds,351 infected wounds,78 cancerous wounds,50 insect and snake bites,34 arteriovenous ulcer wounds,132 scar ulcer wounds,66 pressure ulcer wounds and 34 iatrogenic wounds. From 1999 to 2018,2839 patients were admitted, including 1913 males and 926 females. Conclusion: In the past 20 years,2839 patients with chronic wounds have been treated in our department.According to the analysis,68.67% of chronic wounds were traumatic wounds, residual burn wounds, diabetic wounds and infectious wounds(1946/2839).There were 1913 males and 926 females with chronic wounds.Analysis of patients with chronic wounds every 5 years on average can be obtained.1.The number of male patients was significantly higher than that of female patients.2.In terms of age composition, the average age of patients with chronic wounds tends to increase.3.Various kinds ofchronic facial patients are increasing gradually, especially in the past five years.4.Traumatic chronic trauma accounts for 36.38%,33.06%,26.17% and 21.96%in every five years. In the past five years, the incidence of traumatic chronic wounds is second only to that of infective chronic wounds.5.In the past five years, the incidence of infectious chronic wounds has increased dramatically, accounting for the largest proportion, reaching 27.34%.6.The number of diabetic ulcers increased gradually, especially in the past five years, accounting for 11.53% of the total number of chronic wounds.7.The number of pressure ulcers is also increasing, the most obvious increase in the past five years, accounting for 5.14% of the total number of chronic wounds in this period.Overall, the number of inpatients with chronic wounds has increased significantly, especially in the last five years.By changing the spectrum of chronic wound diseases, and making adjustments one by one, such as controlling blood sugar, controlling blood pressure, using antibiotics reasonably, strengthening safety awareness in daily life and working process, and doing well in safety protection measures, standardized medical operations, etc.,can reduce the incidence of chronic wounds, reduce the difficulty of treatment, reduce the cost of treatment and greatly reduce the cost of treatment.Reduce the rate of disability and mortality.
