Objective:Investigate the effect of BMI on operative and postoperative recovery of Retroperitoneal laparoscopic nephron sparing surgery.Materials and methods:This research is a systematic retrospective analysis study, which included 88 patients undergoing Retroperitoneal laparoscopic nephron sparing surgery for Renal cell carcinomal in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from June 2012 to September2018.All patients were divided into normal weight group(BMI<24 kg/m~2)and obese or overweight group(BMI?24kg/m~2)according to the Body mass index(BMI).Observe and compare the differences between the two groups in gender, age, size of tumor,R.E.N.A.L score, operation time, blood loss, warm ischemia time, duration of drainage, volume of drainage, incidence of early postoperative complications, length of hospital stay. Results:There were 62 male patients and 26 female patients in the 88patients who had received Retroperitoneal laparoscopic nephron sparing surgery forRenal cell carcinomal, aged 20~76 years, the average BMI index was21.47±2.03 kg/m~2 versus 26.22±1.74 kg/m~2 in normal weight group, obese or overweight group.Obese or overweight group index was higher than normal weight group in terms of blood loss, volume of drainage and length of hospital stay, but the difference is not statistically significant(p>0.05).In terms of operation time and warm ischemia time, obese or overweight group index was higher than normal weight group, the difference is statistically significant(p<0.05).Meanwhile,normal weight group index was higher than obese or overweight group in terms of size of tumor, duration of drainage, the difference is also not statistically significant(p>0.05),the incidence of early postoperative complications class II above was lower in the two groups,14.3%and 10.9%respectively(P=0.628).Conclusion:Obesity or overweight factors can increase the operation time and warm of ischemia time undergoing Retroperitoneal laparoscopic nephron sparing surgery,to sme extent,it can increase the difficulty of operation and affect the operation. However,it does not affect postoperative recovery of the patientsundergoingRetroperitoneallaparoscopicnephronsparing surgery.Retroperitoneal laparoscopic nephron sparing surgery is safe and feasible in obese or overweight patients,surgery-related complications and perioperative adverse events do not increase due to obesity or overweight.
