【Objective】This topic will evaluate the usability of the “Breast Cancer Health Management Smartphone Application Version 1.0” developed by the research team. The research team then will update the R&D(Research and Development)and re-useability of the application based on the evaluation results and theoretical guidance and develope the “Breast Cancer Health Management Smartphone Application Version 2.0”.The researchers use an upgraded version of the application as a core intervention tool to build a mobile health self-management intervention program for breast cancer patients and evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention program. We hope to help breast cancer patients improve their self-management behavior, improve the disease experience, and improve the quality of life.【Methods】This study is divided into two parts:1.Breast cancer health management smartphone application version 1.0usability evaluation and version 2.0update development(1)Usability evaluation of breast cancer health management smartphone application version 1.0Based on theoretical research and literature research, the medical staff and breast cancer patients were included in the usability test method and user interview method, combined with the observation and the think-aloud protocal, and the usability problem of the applicationversion1.0 was summarized. The purpose was to provide evidence for improving the program.(2)Development and testing of the version2.0 of the smartphone health management smartphone applicationAccording to the results of the early stageusability evaluation of the application, the development requirements of the software update and upgrade were clarified, and the R&D plan of the version 2.0application was formed. The software engineer and the research team work together to apply the agile development mode and the iterative usability evaluation method. The update development and repeated tests of the version 2.0of the Android system and the web page background data management system were carried out. After the application update was developed,it was included in the core user group of the application--the validation of the usability optimization results of breast cancer patients.2.Construction and effect evaluation of mHealth self-management intervention program for breast cancer patients(1)Preliminary construction of mHealth self-management intervention program for breast cancer patientsCombining literature research, theoretical research, early application usability results of the application and the results of the information support needs of different disease stages of breast cancer patients explored by the research group, the preliminary draft of the mobile medical self-management intervention program for breast cancer patients was initially constructed.(2)Revision and establishment of mHealth self-management intervention program for breast cancer patientsBy inviting medical experts in the field of breast cancer to conduct expert working group meetings to discuss the feasibility and scientific nature of the initial construction of breast cancer mHealth self-management intervention program, combined with the feedback from experts, revised and improved again, and finally formed the final draft of the mHealth self-management intervention programfor breast cancer patients.(3)Implementation and effect evaluation of mHealth self-management intervention program for breast cancer patientsBy including a breast cancer patient who met the inclusion criteria,a mixed study approach was used to update the developed version of the breast cancer health management smartphone application 2.0 as a core intervention tool for a three-month intervention study of breast cancer patients. The mHealth self-management intervention program for breast cancer patients was evaluated.Through quantitative research, the specific effects of the program on improving the self-management behavior level of breast cancer patients and the secondary outcomes of relieving anxiety, depression and improving social support were confirmed.Through qualitativeresearch, the self-management intervention program for breast cancer patients and experience of the application version 2.0was explored.【Results】1.Usability evaluation and update of breast cancer mHealth management smartphone application(1)Usability evaluation of the mHealth management smartphone application version 1.0 of the breast cancerA total of 7 medical staff and 14 breast cancer patients were included for the usability evaluation of the 1.0 version of the application.Through the interviews with medical staff, the useful experience and shortcomings of application usability were summarized.By setting typical tasks, the core users of the application--the usability test and interview of breast cancer patients can obtain the effectiveness, efficiency and evaluation of satisfaction of the application.Based on the score of the post-test system usability assessment questionnaire: system usefulness was 6.2,information quality was 6.0,interface quality was 5.5,and overall rating was 6.0.(2)R&D and testing of the breast cancer mHealth management smartphone applicationversion 2.0After the software engineer’s system update development and research team and user’s multiple rounds of software testing and correction, breast cancer mHealth management smartphone applicationversion 2.0 client and background management system had made 20 changes, realizing the patient information database, knowledge complete presentation of missions, stage assessments and feedback, circle interactions and questions, treatment reminders, and health management.By including breast cancer patients to verify their usability, the results showed that the indicators of usability evaluation were significantly improved. It had been verified that the updated application can be used as a mHealth tool for self-management of breast cancer patients.2.Construction and effect evaluation of mHealth self-management intervention program for breast cancer patients(1)Preliminary construction of mHealth self-management intervention program for breast cancer patientsInitially construct a mHealth self-management intervention program for breast cancer patients, including the application population, intervention plan, evaluation system and background management plan.(2)Optimization and determination of mHealth self-management intervention program for breast cancer patientsThe program was revised through an expert working group meeting. The final draft was determined as follows: the target of the intervention, the core content of the intervention, the duration of the intervention, the implementation process of the intervention, and the effect evaluation system after the intervention.(3)Implementation and effect evaluation of mHealth self-management intervention program for breast cancer patientsThe quantitative study used an experimental study to recruit 133 breast cancer patients who met the inclusion criteria.Three months later,a total of 128 patients in the control group completed a three-month questionnaire survey, and then recruited 160 breast cancer patients into the intervention group.A total of 148 subjects completed a three-month intervention process.According to the data difference between the pre-intervention and post-intervention outcome evaluation indicators, compared with the conventional care group,it can be concluded that the intervention group improved the self-management behavior(P=0.004)and improved the the sense of self-efficacy(P=0.000),improved the perceived social support(P=0.000),improved the patient’s ability to cope with the disease(P=0.000),and reduced the anxiety and depression of the patients(P=0.001;P=0.000).The results of qualitative interviews showed that breast cancer patients in the intervention group had high acceptance and satisfaction with the intervention program and application, and the feedback was good.【Conclusion】1.The application version 1.0 of the research team of the research team has a good overall usability.Combined with the feedback from medical staff and breast cancer patients,it has the characteristics of high credibility, convenience, practicality, simplicity and friendliness, and strong interactivity. However, there are some shortcomings.Based on the theoretical research, literature review and the results of the previous version of the usability evaluation, the version 2.0 of the application is updated to solve the shortcomingsof the previous version. It has been verified that the updated application can be used as a mHealth tool for self-management of breast cancer patients.2.This topic builds a “mHealth self-management intervention program for breast cancer patients”,and confirms the effectiveness of the program through group experiments,it improves the patient’s self-management behavior,self-efficacy,and improves the perceived social support and the patient’s ability to cope with the disease, reduces the anxiety and depression of patients. The results of qualitative interviews showes that breast cancer patients in the intervention group have better feedback on the intervention program and application, and the recognition and satisfaction are high. |
