ObjectiveThe researchers measured the data of the posterior malleolus(height, length, width, the length of the diagonal and area)of all persons.Using Cole fracture mapping to characterize posterior malleolar fracture morphology to perfect the fracture classification of Lauge-Hansen.Then it studies the factors influencing the inequality by multi-factor regression and established the corresponding multivariate linear regression equations.MethodsThis study included 47 patients, all from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, with the diagnosis of posterior malleolar fracture.Fracture lines were graphically superimposed onto an axial template of an intact subarticular posterior malleolus to identify major patterns of fracture and comminution.Through to mimics software' s use,the data of the posterior malleolus(height, length, width, the length of the diagonal and area)were measured. The statistical analysis of the data from each part is based on the SPSS software.ResultsThe results showed that fracture line mainly distributed on the posterolateral structures of the posterior malleolus. The statistical analysis results revealed that there is a positive correlation between the area of posterior malleolar fragment, height, length and width. And the area of posterior malleolar fragment be impacted the classification of Haraguchi.ConclusionThere is a positive corrclation between the area of posterior malleolar fragment and height, length and width. And the area of posterior malleolar fragment be impacted the classification of Haraguchi.
