Objective:To investigate the association between single nucleotide diversity at rs145628951 locus of SLITRK1 gene and schizophrenia in Uygur population in Xinjiang,China. Methods:The exon regions of SLITRK1 gene loci in 1169 Uygur schizophrenic patients and 1191 Uygur normal subjects were amplified by DNA and sequenced by multiplex PCR targeted capture second generation sequencing.DSM-IV(Diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders-IV)was used to include the patients in the case group and mental status examination, and the positive and negative symptoms scale(positive and negative symptoms scale,PANSS)was used to include and evaluate the severity of the patients. The results were analyzed by SPSS 22.0 and PLINK software. Results:There were significant differences in allele and genotypic frequencies of SLITRK1 gene rs145628951 locus between the case group and the control group.(P<0.05)There was no significant difference in allele and genotype frequency between male and control group, case group female and control group female.(P>0.05)There was no significant difference in allele and genotype frequencies between adolescents and adolescents, adults and adults.(P>0.05)There was no significant difference in the score of PANSS scale among different genotypes of schizophrenia.(P>0.05)Conclusion:There is little association between rs145628951 polymorphism of SLITRK1 gene and schizophrenia in Xinjiang Uygur population.
