Effect Of Electroacupuncture Combined With Intra-articular Injection Of Clematis On Knee Osteoarthritis In Rats

ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of electroacupuncture combined with clementine intra-articular injection on tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs),hyaluronic acid(HA)and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases-1(TIMP-1)in knee osteoarthritis rats.MethodsTotally 60 SD rats were randomly divided into four groups,the control group(A group),treatment group(B group),Clematis chinensis Osbeck treatment group(C group)and electroacupuncture combined with Clematis chinensis Osbeck treatment group(D group),15 rats in each group.The rats in group A were not given any treatment,B group rats were given electro acupuncture treatment,C group rats were given Clematis chinensis Osbeck injection intra-articular injection,D group rats were given electroacupuncture combined with Clematis chinensis Osbeck treatment,compared to treatment effect.ResultFour groups of rats after treatment,HA,TNF-α,MMPs and TIMP-1,knee swelling data were improved,but the indexes of rats in group D were higher than those in group B and C,B group and C group were higher than that of A group,there were statistically significant differences(F=47.561,58.996,79.632,49.663,50.657 87.669,59.658,P<0.05).In the comparison of the time ofswelling and regression in four groups,the differences between the data were statistically significant(F=45.661,P<0.05).Q test showed that the time of swelling regression was D group,which was lower than that of B group and C group,B group and C group were less r than those of A group.ConclusionIntervention of the rat model of knee osteoarthritis by electroacupuncture combined with intra-articular injection of Clematis chinensis Osbeck can improve the therapeutic effect and improve the expression intensity of TNF-α,MMPs,HA and TIMP-1,which is worth in-depth research in human studies.
