Objective: To investigate the clinicopathological features and risk factors of bilateral para-laryngeal nerve lymph node metastasis in thoracic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Methods: A retrospective analysis of Xinjiang medical university affiliated tumor hospital from January 2015 to December 2017 of the first 181 cases of thoracic segment esophageal squamous carcinoma in patients with clinical pathological data, through the single factor,Logistic multi-factors statistical analysis, compare the thoracic segment esophageal squamous carcinoma bilateral beside lymph node metastasis of laryngeal recurrent nerve transfer clinical pathological characteristics and the related risk factors. Results: Among 181 cases of thoracic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, the rate of lymph node metastasis was 25.97%(47/181).A total of 1086 bilateral para laryngeal nerve lymph nodes were dissected, with a metastasis rate of 9.1%(99/1086).The metastasis rate was 12.7%(23/181)and the degree of metastasis was 7.5%(38/507).The metastasis rate and degree of metastasis were 19.3%(35/181)and 10.5%(61/579).The concurrent metastasis rate of bilateral para-laryngeal nerve lymph nodes was 6.1%.The metastasis rate of right recurrent laryngeal lymph nodes was higher than that of the left(P < 0.01,x =13.710).Single factor analysis showed that the tumor location, tumor infiltration depth, the degree of tumor cell differentiation, vascular tumor emboli, nerve invasion, subcarinal lymph node metastasis, lymph node metastasis, tumor invasion and the wall around esophagus range and thoracic segment esophageal squamous carcinoma patients with bilateral laryngeal recurrent nerve by correlated with lymph node metastasis(P < 0.05),through the binary Logistic multifactor analysis showed the breasts segment esophageal squamous cell carcinomas, poorly differentiated carcinoma, esophageal lesions infringing the feed tube wall surrounding lymph node metastasis and the whole week is in patients with thoracic segment esophageal squamous carcinoma of the left beside the laryngeal recurrent nerve independent risk factors for lymph node metastasis;Middle and upper thoracic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, subcarinal lymph node metastasis and nerve invasion are independent risk factors for right laryngeal recurrent nerve lymph node metastasis in patients with thoracic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Conclusion: Patients with thoracic segment esophageal squamous carcinoma lymph nodes near the right side of the laryngeal recurrent nerve is on the left side of the lymph node metastasis occurred more often, the low degree of tumor differentiation, vascular tumor emboli, subcarinal lymph node metastasis, tumor invasion feed tube wall full weeks of patients are more likely to happen next to the laryngeal recurrent nerve lymph node metastasis.
