As part of the health industry,China's medical service industry has always enjoyed the inclination and support of national policies.When the medical reform is getting harder,private hospitals entered a period of rapid development.Under this circumstance,some private hospitals are exploring the path from single hospitals to chain hospitals.The investment of sufficient funds is the premise and guarantee for the steady development of private hospital chain expansion.How to implement the expansion strategy scientifically and effectively use funds from different sources is especially important for the expansion of private hospital chain,so study the funds usage efficiency and effectiveness under the chain expansion of private hospitals has important practical significance.This paper analyzes the source and use of funds under the expansion of Aier Eye hospital chain,explores how Aier Eye hospital successfully implements the hierarchical chain expansion strategy,and the fund usage efficiency and effectiveness of Aier Eye hospital under chain expansion.Firstly,the related literatures and theories are reviewed,and the methods for analyzing the efficiency and effectiveness of funds useage under the chain expansion of private hospitals are summarized.The development process of Aier Eye hospital chain expansion is divided into three stages by using the enterprise growth cycle theory:2006-2008 is the pre-growth period,2009-2013 is the mid-growth period,and 2014-2017 is the late growth period.First analyze the different expansion strategies of these three stages,as well as the sources and use of funds for chain expansion under these three stages.Through the change of the ratio of funds investment and index increment,the funds usage efficiency under the chain expansion is evaluated,and then the analysis of various financial indicators and the global chain layout,industry competitiveness,eye hospital chain number comparison,social evaluation,etc.Aspects analyze the effectiveness of funds usage under the chain expansion.Finally,suggestions are made for the expansion of private hospital chain and the use of funds.It is concluded that the main reason for Aier Eye hospital to achieve rapid expansion is to fill the market gap and seize market share as the strategic orientation.In the early stage,we explored a reasonable hierarchical chain model and the use of funds to form a chain network,and later introduced the industry when the company's own growth is weak.The M&A funds increased the efficiency and effectiveness of funds usage and eventually grew into a leading chain enterprise in the ophthalmology industry.Funds from different sources under the expansion of the Aier Eye hospital chain have played a phased role in the expansion of the Aier Eye hospital.Equity financing has a good effect on Aier Eye hospital's domestic chain expansion strategy;debt financing provides great support for Aier Eye hospital to enter the international market;endogenous financing has continuity and is the expansion of Aier Eye hospital chain.Through the research of this paper,the analysis of the efficiency and effectiveness of funds usage in the background of private hospital chain expansion has enriched the theoretical content and has certain theoretical contributions.Through the study of the typical case of Aier Eye hospital,we understand the expansion of private hospital chain.The source and use of funds and the efficiency and effectiveness of funds usage are conducive to private hospitals to adjust their expansion strategies,improve the efficiency and effectiveness of funds usage,and achieve chain expansion reasonably and effectively.
