ObjectiveTo evaluate the relationship between glycemic variability and glomerular filtration rate in patients with type 2 diabetes.Methods181 patients with type 2 diabetes admitted between 2017.1 and 2018.1 treated in Jinan Central Hospital were enrolled in the study.Type 2 diabetes mellitus was diagnosed based on the criteria of the standard made by WHO in 1999.The patients were divided into 4 groups according to GFR calculated according to the modified MDRD formula applicable to Chinese:1.GFR was severely reduced and end-stage renal disease group?GFR?29?,and it has 36 cases,2.GFR moderate to severely reduced group?GFR30-59?45 cases,3.GFR mildly reduced group?GFR60-89?48 cases,4.GFR normal or elevated group?GFR?90?52 cases. The unit of GFR is ml*min-1*1.73m-2.To collect the basic situation of each group of subjects, laboratory indicators, etc.,and calculate the in accordance with the literature records.Made comparisons of standard deviation of blood glucose levels, triglyceride?TG?,total cholesterol?TC?,high density lipoprotein cholesterol?HDL?,low density lipoprotein cholesterol?LDL-C?,age,BMI number,hemoglobinA1c?HbA1c?,course of diabetes mellitus, gender among these groups. Then we conducted correlation analysis and multivariate logistic regression between the score of GFR and statistically significant indicators. Finally,we analysis the relationship between the standard deviation of blood glucose levels and other indicators as mentioned above.ResultsThere were statistically significant differences in standard deviation of blood glucose levels, total cholesterol?TC?,high density lipoprotein cholesterol?HDL?,gender,BMI number and course of diabetes mellitus?P<0.05?.No statistically significant differences were found in the other indicators.Correlation analysis indicated that GFR were positively correlated with BMI,total cholesterol?TC?,high density lipoprotein cholesterol?HDL?,low density lipoprotein cholesterol?LDL-C?and were negatively correlated with standard deviation of blood glucose levels, course of diabetes?P<0.05?.Gender is also relevant.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the standard deviation of blood glucose levels was the influencing factor of glomerular filtration rate?P<0.05?.The standard deviation of blood glucose levels was related to total cholesterol, age, gender, glycosylated hemoglobin, glomerular filtration rate and course of disease?P<0.05?.ConclusionGlycemic variability may be a factor influencing glomerular filtration rate in patients with type 2 diabetes.
