Objective:To explore the correlation between plasma Hcy level and MTHFR gene polymorphism and arteriosclerosis type CSVD.Methods: A case-control study was conducted to include 101 Han patients with atherosclerotic CSVD diagnostic criteria.Brain MRI showed normal 105 Han patients as controls.ELISA was used to measure plasma Hcy levels,and PCR-RFLP gene detection technique was used to detect MTHFR genes.The results: There were significant differences in Hcy level,history of hypertension,drinking history,HbA1 c and BUN in the case group compared with the control group(P<0.05).2.Comparing the plasma Hcy levels between the subgroups: the WML severe group and the WML non-severe group,the paraventricular WML severe group and the non-severe group,the deep WML severe group and the non-severe group were statistically significant(P< 0.05);There was no significant difference between WML group and LI group,paraventricular WML and deep WML group(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the MTHFRC677 T polymorphism between the case group and the control group(P>0.05).There were differences in the genotype and allele frequencies of T and T group in the paraventricular and deep WML severe group and LI group compared with the control group.Statistical significance(P<0.05),there was no significant difference between the non-severe group of WML and the control group(P>0.05).The plasma Hcy level of TT genotype patients in the case group was significantly higher than that of CT and CC genotypes,and the difference of TT was higher than CC and CT(P<0.05).There were significant differences in the scores of MOCA total score,visual space,naming,attention,delayed recall,orientation,and language between the case group and the control group(P<0.01).There was no statistically significant difference in abstract thinking.(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Hcy,history of hypertension,drinking history,HbA1 c,BUN,may be risk factors for arteriosclerosis type CSVD;2.Hcy is related to LI,related to the severity of WML,not related to the site of WML;MTHFRC677T gene polymorphism It may be a risk factor for the severity of LI and WML;3.The TT genotype is associated with increased plasma Hcy levels in the case group;4.The cognitive function of patients with atherosclerotic CSVD is lower than that of the control group.
