Objective : To explore the clinical application effect and advantages of Nagata external ear reconstruction in the repair of ear defect malformation.Methods: Retro-spective analysis of the clinical data of 23 patients who underwent Nagata external ear reconstruction and the follow-up period from June to August in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January 2014 to December 2018.There were 20 patients with congenital microtia,3 patients with trauma,13 males and 10 females;the age ranged from 8 to 46 years,with an average of 19.95 years.Results: All 23 patients were followed up for 6 months to 18 months,with an average of 14.3 months.All the patients underwent first-stage incision.The postoperative follow-up showed that 2 patients had obvious absorption of the auricle bracket.Three patients had different degrees of auricular stent deformation,and one case had obvious reduction of the angle of the skull.Among them,11 cases were satisfied,which was basically satisfactory.Not satisfied with2 cases.Satisfaction was 47.8%,basic satisfaction was 43.5%,and dissatisfaction was8.7%.Most patients have the ideal surgical results,and the reconstructed ear size is consistent with the healthy ear,and the three-dimensional contour is clear.There were no bilateral ear size and positional asymmetry in the follow-up cases.Conclusion:Nagata external ear reconstruction has the advantages of short operation period,less surgical complications and simplified operation.It has important value in the clinical application of ear defect repair.
