BackgroundEstablish the quality control circle group,the project of the study were " the success rate of PICC disposable puncture catheterization,the complications during PICC tube,the quality of PICC care ".Select the highest scored person as the research object.Carrying out PICC quality control activities in the department of the oncology,to explore the quality of the quality control circle(QCC)in patients with malignant tumors PICC catheterization,the incidence of complications during PICC catheter indwelling,the theoretical knowledge of the PICC care and the mastery of operational skills,application effects in patient satisfaction.In order to achieve the goal of improving the quality of PICC care in oncology.MethodsThe project established a quality control circle group,conducted systematic quality control knowledge training for the members.According to the quality control circle principle,the highest score was selected that improve the PICC primary tube placement success rate and reduce the PICC belt tube.During the period of complications,improve the quality of PICC care is the theme of this event.Using the convenient sampling method,from October 2015 to September 2017,441 patients with PICC catheterization were included in the tumor malignancy.From October 2016 to September 2017,the quality control circle activities were carried out.Before the implementation of the quality control circle,226 cases of PICC catheterization of malignant tumors from October 2015 to September 2016 were in the control group,and 215 cases of malignant tumors after the implementation of the quality control circle were in the observation group.The control group adopted the routine nursing management,and the observation group adopted the management for PICC quality control.The two sets of tube placement procedures and maintenance methods are all based on the management procedures and maintenance standards uniformly formulated by a top three hospitals.According to the activity process and the calendar,all the circle staff brainstorm,analyze the current status,find out the causes,formulate countermeasures,and carry out PICC quality management through continuous quality improvement.Compared the success rate of one-stage catheterization,theincidence of complications during catheter indwelling,the knowledge of PICC related theoretical knowledge and operational skills,the satisfaction of patients with PICC tube between the two groups.ResultsIn this study,the success rate of PICC disposable catheterization was increased from 85.84%to 96.74%(P<0.05).The preoperative tube time of the quality control circle was shortened from 33.8 ± 3.77 to 27.3 ± 5.21 minutes(P<0.05).The incidence of PICC complications in patients with malignant tumor PICC catheterization was decreased from 31.42%to 15.81%after the activity,the two groups were different and statistically significant.Compared with the control group,the incidence of phlebitis and ectopic catheterization in patients with PICC cattheterization in the observation group was significantly decreased(P<0.05),which decreased from 6.19%and 9.29%to 2.33%and 4.19%differently.However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of thrombosis,catheter-related infection,catheter dislocation,and skin allergy(P>0.05).In addition,this study shows that the PICC theoretical knowledge assessment of the members of the quality control circle team increased from 85.54±3.55 to 95.08±2.18,and the PICC tube management technology assessment increased from 85.98±3.18 to 94.08±2.15.PICC maintenance technical assessment increased from 86.15±3.74 to 96.15±2.12,the patient satisfaction rate during the PICC banding of the observation group malignant tumor patients was 97.21%and the control group was 91.59%,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionsThe implementation of the quality control circle can improve the success rate of PICC tube in the tumor,shorten the catheterization time,and improve the work efficiency of nursing staff.It can reduce the incidence of complications during PICC catheter indwelling,improve the quality of nursing,and improve patient satisfaction.It can improve the quality of PICC care and better serve for patients.
