Objective:To explore the effects of comprehensive respiratory training on pulmonary function and psychologic status of stroke patients.Method:A total of 97 stroke patients in the rehabilitation ward of the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of traditional Chinese Medicine were selected, they were randomly divided into the comprehensive respiratory training group?33 cases?,the conventional respiratory training group?32cases?and the control group?32 cases?.The control group was given conventional rehabilitation function training and health guidance for 30minutes/once/day,5days/week,training for 6 weeks. The conventional respiratory training,on the basis of the control group, was given Lip contraction-abdominal respiratory training and the chest relaxation training for 30 minutes/once/day,5 days/week,training for 6 weeks. On the basis of the conventional respiratory training group, the inspiratory muscle training were given in the comprehensive respiratory training group,30 times/group,2 groups/day,5 days/week,training for 6 weeks. The lung function parameters of participants before and after treatment were evaluated by a lung function tester?Size:CS-200ERGO?produced by SCHILLER company,in Germany, including forced vital capacity?FVC?,forced vital capacity in the first second?FEV1?,maximum ventilation volume?MVV?and peak expiratory flow?PEF?;Inspiratory muscle function parameters of participants before and after treatment were evaluated by POWER Breathe K5 inspiratory muscle evaluation equipment, including maximum inspiratory pressure?MIP?and peak inspiratory flow?PIF?;Psychological status of participants were evaluated by self-rating anxiety scale?SAS?and self-rating depression scale?SDS?.All parameters were assessed by the same person before and after treatment. Results:Before training, there was no significant statistical difference in general information, pulmonary function and psychologic status parameters among the three groups?P>0.05?.Pulmonary ventilation function:After 6weeks of treatment, compared with pre-training,there was significant improvement in FVC?FEV1?MVV and PEF between the comprehensive respiratory training group and the conventional respiratory training group?P<0.05?;Comparison between groups show that, the FVC?FEV1 and PEF in the comprehensive respiratory training group and the routine respiratory training group were significantly better than the control group?P<0.05?,and the comprehensive respiratory training group in FEV1 and MVV was significantly better than the conventional respiratory training group?P<0.05?.Inspiratory muscle function:After 6 weeks of treatment, compared with pre-training,there was significant improvement in MIP and PIF between the comprehensive respiratory training group and the conventional respiratory training group?P<0.05?;Comparison between groups show that, the comprehensive respiratory training group in MIP and PIF was significantly better than the control group, and the comprehensive respiratory training group in MIP and PIF was significantly better than the conventional respiratory training group?P<0.05?.Psychologic status:After 6 weeks of treatment, compared with pre-training,there was significant improvement in score of SAS and SDS between the comprehensive respiratory training group and the conventional respiratory training group?P<0.05?;Comparison between groups show that, the comprehensive respiratory training group and the conventional respiratory training group in score of SAS and SDS was significantly better than the control group, and the comprehensive respiratory training group in score of SAS and SDS was significantly better than the conventional respiratory training group?P<0.05?.Conclusions:1.Comprehensive respiratory training can effectively improve the pulmonary ventilation function of patients with stroke.2.Comprehensive respiratory training can effectively improve the inspiratory muscle function of patients with stroke.3.Comprehensive respiratory training can effectively improve the psychological status of anxiety, depression, and improve the quality of life of patients with stroke.
