| Objective:To summarize the current evidence and evaluate the clinical efficacy of exercise in improving cognitive function in AD patients.Methods:We retrieved the databases in both English and Chinese from PubMed,Web of Science,CNKI and CBM until July,2018.Collect a randomized controlled trial of effects of exercise on AD.Meantime this paper also performed a full manual search and Literature retroactive methods to identify additional studies,only abstract and unpublished articles should not be considered.The articles were included and excluded according to the relevant criteria of this research.We evaluated the methodological quality of the included studies according to the CONSORT.The relevant information were extracted and documented from each included studies.All analyses were performed using the Review Manager software ver.5.3.Results:A total of 1340articles were found in the retrieved database.In the related databases,a total of 13 randomized controlled trial were included(7 foreign study abroad,6 domestic research),a total of 496 patients were included,divided into 2 group,with 249 entering the experimental group and 247 entering the control group.the results suggested that the exercise can improve cognitive scores of AD patients(SMD=1.45,95%CI[0.94,1.95],P<0.001,I2=84%),statistically significant(P<0.05).Moreover,the heterogeneity of demestic population study is low(SMD=0.63,95%CI[0.40,0.87],P =1.0,I2=0%),while that of foreign population study is high(SMD=2.30,95%CI[1.53,3.07],P =0.0002,I2=77%).Conclusion:This meta-analysis shows:the intervention of exercise can improve the cognitive function of AD;It is mainly in aerobic exercise mode,moderate exercise intensity(70%Hrmax,60%V02max)may benefit cognitive function in AD;In this meta-analysis,treadmill training,aerobic exercise,and a comprehensive way of exercise based on walking can improve the cognitive function of AD. |
