Objective:By studying the clinical features of patent ductus arteriosus(PDA)in preterm infants,to explore the prognostic and related factors of PDA in preterm infants,to further improve and standardize PDA management in preterm infants.Materials and Methods:A retrospective analysis of 220 premature infants were born in Fujian Province Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 1,2015 to December 31,2016 and hospitalized in the neonatal department. There were 110 cases in the case group(PDA group)and 110 cases in the control group(non-PDA group). Two groups of clinical data were used to conduct a case-control study. On the basis of univariate analysis of risk factors for PDA in preterm infants, logistic regression models were used to analyze risk factors for PDA in preterm infants.A univariate analysis was performed on the relevant data during the hospitalization of the two groups of children to investigate the common complications or complications of PDA in preterm infants and outcomes.According to the outcome of the arterial catheter at the time of discharge, the physical growth and neurological development of the infants in each group were followed and compared.SPSS 24.0 software was used to complete statistical data processing and analysis. Results:In a retrospective analysis, univariate analysis showed that prenatal mothers have used of magnesium sulfate and dexamethasone was associated with the occurrence of PDA in preterm infants, with OR values of 0.461 and 1.732,respectively;Logistic regression analysis showed that prenatal mothers have used sulfuricacid Magnesium was a risk factor for PDA in preterm infants.Prenatal have used of dexamethasone was a protective factor for PDA in preterm infants, with OR values of 1.860 and 0.577,respectively.Univariate analysis of comorbid or concomitant complications in children with PDA revealed that the presence of PDA in preterm infants was associated with respiratory failure, milk time, and feeding intolerance, with OR values of 0.485,2.027,and 2.260,respectively.physical growth of infants with PDA after discharge showed that there was no significant difference in body weight, height, and head circumference between the PDA non-closed group and the PDA closed group and the non-PDA group, the P values were all greater than 0.05.the children with PDA after discharge had intelligence development and hearing tests during infancy showed that there were no significant difference in intelligence screening and hearing tests between the PDA non-closed group and the PDA closed group and the non-PDA group. The P values were 0.113,0.373 respectively. Conclusions:Prenatal have used of magnesium sulfate was a risk factor for PDA in preterm infants, while prenatal have used of dexamethasone was a protective factor for PDA in preterm infants. The persistence of PDA in preterm infants was associated with respiratory failure, milk time and feeding intolerance, and would increase hospitalization costs and prolong hospital stays. This study has not yet found that the physical growth and neurological development of infants was significantly associated with the closure of arterial catheters at discharge in preterm infants.
