Objective:To improve the understandingof Chronic Myeloid Leukemia with NPM1 mutation. Methods: By analyzing the clinical features, bone marrow cell morphology, immunology, cytogenetics, and molecular biology of one patient with CML-MBC,the author understood the difference between CML-MBC and AML further more, and realized the role of NPM1 in the progression and prognosis of CML and reviewed relevant literatures. Results:Through the follow-up of the patient in the past 1 year,it was found that by oral dasatinib treatment, the patient is always in the chronic phase of chronic myeloid leukemia(CML-CP),and the NPM1 gene is negative.Conclusion:NPM1 is a well-characterized gene mutation in AML.It may play a role in the progression of CML and may also have a beneficial effect on the prognosis of CML-MBC patients. It may be judged as one of the molecular markers of prognosis of CML-BC.
