Objective:To study the expression of NF-?B p50,NF-?B p65 and IDO in papillary thyroid carcinoma and the relationship with the clinical parameters. Methods:The samples of 181 cases of this study were obtained from the patients undergoing surgical resection in the first hospital of Shanxi Medical University from January 2016 to December 2016,including 80 cases of papillary thyroid carcinoma,55 cases of thyroid adenoma and 46 cases of nodular goiter. The expression of NF-?B p50,NF-?B p65 and IDO protein in thyroid tissue was observed by immunohistochemistry. The relationship between the expression and clinical parameters were analyzed.Results:1.The positive expression rate of NF-?B p50 in papillary thyroid carcinoma was40%(32/80),which was significantly higher than that in nodular goiter 5.5%(3/55)and thyroid adenoma 8.7%(4/46),P<0.05.There was no significant difference of NF-?B p50 expression between nodular goiter and thyroid adenoma(P>0.05).Both the univariate analysis and multivariate analysis showed that the expression of NF-?B p50 in papillary thyroid carcinoma was significant correlated with lymph node metastasis and TNM stage, but had no significant correlation with age, sex, tumor size and capsule invasion(P>0.05).2.The positive expression rate of NF-?B p65 in papillary thyroid carcinoma was55%(44/80),which was significantly higher than that in nodular goiter 12.7%(7/55)andthyroid adenoma 15.2%(7/46),P<0.05.There was no significant difference of NF-?B p65 expression between nodular goiter and thyroid adenoma(P>0.05).Univariate analysis showed that the expression of NF-?B p65 in papillary thyroid carcinoma was significant correlated with lymph node metastasis, but had no significant correlation with age, sex, tumor size,TNM stage and capsule invasion(P>0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that both lymph node metastasis and higher TNM stage were independent factors.3.The positive expression rates of IDO protein in nodular goiter, thyroid adenoma and papillary thyroid carcinoma were as follows:3.6%(2/55),8.7%(4/46),35%(28/80).Comparison between benign lesions, there was no significant difference in the expression of IDO between adenoma and nodular goiter(P>0.05);The difference between papillary thyroid carcinoma and benign lesions was statistically significant(P<0.05).Both the univariate analysis and multivariate analysis showed that there were significant correlations between the expressions of IDO and lymph node metastasis(P<0.05),but not association with age, sex, tumor size,TNM stage and capsule invasion(P>0.05).4.In papillary thyroid carcinoma tissues, there is a positive correlation between the expression of NF-?B p50,NF-?B p65 and IDO(P < 0.05).Conclusion:1.The expression of NF-?B p50,NF-?B p65 and IDO in papillary thyroid carcinoma tissue were significantly higher than that in the nodular goiter and thyroid adenoma. These results suggest that their overexpression may be involved in the process of disease and play an important role in the occurrence and development of cancer.2.In papillary thyroid carcinoma tissue, the expression of NF-?B p50,NF-?B p65 and IDO showed positive correlation, suggesting that the canonical NF-kB pathway may be involved in the regulation of IDO expression.
