Object:To Compare the clinical effects and complications between ultrasound guided radiofrequency ablation(RFA)and parathyroidectomy(PTX)in the treatment of secondary hyperparathyroidism(SHPT),to explore the clinical application value of radiofrequency ablation for secondary hyperparathyroidism. Methods:A total of seventy-nine confirmed SHPT patients treated with RFA,or PTX in our hospital during March 2014 to March 2017 were analyzed, according to the therapeutic method 79 patients were divided into RFA group(32 cases)and PTX group(47 cases). The patients of RFA were divided into T-RFA group(RFA1:17cases)and s-RFA group(RFA2: 15 cases)by the ablation region; The paitents of PTX were divided into T-PTX group(PTX1: 19 cases)and S-PTX group(PTX2:28 cases)by different surgical method.Clinical data(include biochemical, the time of operation and hospitalization, symptom, complications)were compared between the two groups of RFA and PTX during perioperation and 1 day,1 week,1 month,3 months,6 months after operation. Results:The biochemical data showed both groups of RFA and PTX in serum calcium, phosphorus and i PTH were significantly reduced compare with those before the operation, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Between in the two groups, there were no significant difference on the biochemical data(P>0.05),but there were statistically significant differences in different time(P<0.05).Both groups of RFA and PTX had no obvious improvement in kidney function after the operation, there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).Complications observation showed the operation time and blood loss was less in RFA group compared to PTX group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Postoperative hospital stays,RFA group was significantly less than PTX group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant difference in both groups RFA and PTX on bone joint pain, itchy skin, muscle weakness(P>0.05).The groups RFA1 and PTX1 cure rate there were no significant difference(P>0.05),there were no recurrence in 6 months. Conclusion:Ultrasound guided RFA in the treatment of secondary hyperparathyroidism can achieve similar clinical curative effect as parathyroidectomy, and small trauma, rapid recovery,it is a safe and effective minimally invasive treatment.
