A Research Of Green Or Combined With Pro-Argin On Occlusion Rate Of Dentin Tubules And Dentin Hardness

Objective This paper established a dentin sensitivity model for permanent teeth and investigated the sealing effect of Colgate Complete Protection Toothpaste which based on ProArgin Technology,Green Or and their combination on the dentinal tubule.The durability test was used to compare the changes of the Surface Microhardness(SMH)on the dentin before and after brushing to provide a more effective clinical treatment plan and reference for the long-term effective treatment for dentin sensitivity.Methods There were 100 maxillary third molars extracted in one month.According to the standard of sensitive dentin model,they were made into dentin tablets and randomly divided into 5 groups(n=20).Control group: artificial saliva(group A),75% NaF Glycerin Paste(Group B),Experimental Group: Green Or(Group C),Colgate Complete Protection Toothpaste(Group D),Green or+Colgate Complete Protection Toothpaste(Group E).10 samples selected randomly from each group were stained with Rhodamine B after drug application.The remaining 50 samples were fixed,dehydrated and sprayed with gold.SEM and LSCM were used to compare the dentinal tubule occlusion and calculate the closure rate of tubules.Then brushing experiments were conducted to determine the SMH of dentin before and after brushing.Results The blocked rate of the dentinal tubules after desensitization: Group E > Group C> Group D> Group B>Group A,the diferences among them have found the statistically significant.(P<0.05),compared with other groups,and the dentinal tubules were observed to be closed by a large area in the SEM and LSCM images in group E.SMH-1 on dentin:Group E>Group C>Group D>Group B?Group A,the difference was statistically significant.The ?SMH after brushingteeth,Group C > Group A ? Group B>Group E> Group D,diferences among them also have found the statistically meaning(P<0.05).Conclusions 1.The combination of Green Or and Pro-Argin has a synergistic effect,which could increase effectively the dentinal tubule sealing rate.2.The combination of Green Or and Pro-Argin has a synergistic effect,which has a good effect on improving SMH and anti-wear.
